As a black from the Sudan and Ethiopia from my two sides of my family, I was born in England, but do not know a huge amount of my family history. I know my family is not Muslim but my grandfathers name was "abdullah". Does that mean he was Muslim? If so, do you think he converted ect?

Is abdullah a name non-muslims have?

Jews and Christians in Muslim societies - usually Arab ones - sometimes have the name Abdullah.

Abdallah can be muslim, jewish or christian ... as long he's arabic speaking....

For example former chief minister of Gibraltar Sir Joshua Hassan is a Jewish.
