as salaam alaykoum

I am a new member and just wanted to introduce myself. I am a female Muslim convert and I now live in an Islamic country. I would like to learn and share views with others on Islam, politics and interfaith relationships. Enshallah I may be able to add something to your forum, as well as learn from other members. I am happy to answer any questions regarding a western woman converting to Islam and living in an arabic Islamic country.

Thank you for your warm welcome. I am from United Kingdom but now live in Egypt and I love it, love it, love i!! I do not live in the fancy tourist areas, I live in a very poor farming area in the Nile delta region but boy has it made me change my attitudes to life and fellow man.

Well I find the weather a problem, just too hot and the quality of life is not as good as england but I just love the people there, they still care about each other, if you fall over in the street 20 people will come to help you whereas in england they would ignore you, stare, laugh or all 3. I live there just because of the people, I wish more westerners would visit the rural areas to see how great arabic people can be when their concerns are working to pay bills and who's turn it is to make the tea rather than the political & religious conflicts we have.
