Project IVSchool

Today we find many Muslim parents are dissatisfied with their children’s method of education. They’re not happy having their children exposed to bad influences and the effects of such things as peer pressure, bullying, drugs, immorality, mixed genders, stranger danger, along with un-Islamic theories and concepts. This occurs, not only in countries where Muslims are a minority, but also in countries where the majority of the population is Muslim.

Such high importance and esteem has been attached to tertiary qualifications (bachelor degrees, master degrees, Ph D doctorates), especially in countries where Muslims are the majority. Therefore, when making choices about their children’s education, parents are compelled to seek “accredited” institutions.

With this in mind IVSchool aims to prepare students to sit for the major certifications of their choice (taking into account their future plans): i.e. SAT (USA), GCSE (UK), as well as Australian and Canadian certificates.

Our goal is that when IVSchool students reach Level 12, they will have acquired the skills (be fluent in Arabic and English or French) and the appropriate qualifications to continue their studies at tertiary institutions of their choice in a large range of countries, either on campus or by distance education (preferred, as they’re already used to this online study method and it would enable them to remain with their families, away from fitnah).

A problem that commonly occurs in Arab countries is that the students finish high school without the required English skills or accepted certification to study overseas, or even in their own universities (if they want to study, for example, medicine, engineering, technology etc) This means they have to spend extra time acquiring those skills before commencing their higher studies. Similarly, English speaking students who wish to pursue their higher education in Islamic/Arabic Institutions need extra time to gain the required skills.

In traditional schools, no matter how good the curriculum or the teachers, the main problem lies with students – all with different backgrounds - it takes only one “bad apple” to spoil the rest.

One of IVSchool’s strategies, in keeping with the teachings of Islam, is to take the good and leave bad. In this way we will Insha’Allah take the good features of traditional schools and the good features of homeschooling and merge them together to form a unique and better educational method and environment Bi-ithnillah.

The advantages of studying with IVSchool are that the children will be studying in the safety of their homes, under the supervision of their parent(s), who will have a greater involvement in their children’s education. Insha’Allah, the family and the Ummah will be strengthened as a result.
