Assalamu 'alaykum

I am applying to Madinah University. However, I have a problem with recommendation, as you must be recommded by either someone known to the uni (i.e. ex-student), or a salafi scholar (I have heard this from a few students). Now,

A) There are neither in my area
B) The non-Salafi scholars I know are reluctant to give me a recommendation due to sectarian issues.

So can anyone give any suggestions of how to tackle this issue?

*P.S. (Please don't discuss any sectarian things, I simply want a solution to my problem)

Where are you located? Our admin, Brother Khaldun is currently studying in Madinah Alhamdullilah, so you might want to PM him and ask how he did it, who he got his recommendations from etc Insha'Allaah.
