Pan-arabism is about the arab world, an arab in definiton is someone speaking arabic. not a genetical thing such as pan-Iranism.

Nations in north Africa such as morocco and Tunis are considered arab nations. But the people there claim not speaking arabic and claim to be another people. And often get angry if you call them arabs.

Then we have islam that hates racial profiling and tells you to see people as muslims and non muslims.

Does Pan arabism go against islam?

Yes it does. An Arabi has no preference over an Ajami in Islam. A Muslim belonging to another culture or speaking other language than Arabic is not supposed to give up one's language and culture because of Islam. Learning Arabic in addition to one's national or local language is an added qualification for a Muslim but by no means mandatory. Similarly, a Muslim can wear ones own national or local dress with pride. However, the dress has to fulfill the Islamic retirements.
