As for the fatwa. Everything in there is correct about those who make pictures or draw pictures of animate beings. Stern warning is given against such an act as Allah will command the picture make to put life into what he created and he will not be able to then he and his image both will be in the hellfire. This clearly applies all the painters and sculptures and what not.

As for photography, although this site does include that in the picture making category, some other scholars however do not. So there is a difference of opinion on whether photography falls into this category or not. I for one tend to stay way from it just to be on the safe side, after all it is hellfire we're talking about here. So i don't have a camera nor do i go to the photo shop and print out photos from such cameras (photo on paper). Digital photography is a different matter all together. As for lot of members on this board, i'm assuming you think they would be in a not so nice place because of the animate being pictures they share on here. I'm not saying that making images is haraam but sharing is ok. I"m just saying they are two different things. the fatwa states photography is haram unless it is due necessity or serves a benefit. For example, the musharaf picture would be bad to post and but the pictures of the bush and arabs smooching each other could be ok since it shows (on an education level) what the munafiqs are doing and to expose them.
