View Full Version : Palestinians Rocked By Isreali Air Strikes

05-21-2007, 06:32 PM

Gaza has once again descended into violence and virtual civil war.

While Palestinians were fighting Palestinians, this rocket was fired by Hamas militants into the southern Israeli town of Sderot.

It was one of 100 rockets fired into Israel. No Israelis have been killed but several have been injured.

Israel hit back with a series of targeted assassinations against leading Hamas members.

This missile was fired at a moving car in Gaza.

An attack on this Hamas HQ in Gaza City killed at least one person. Five Hamas fighters were killed in Israeli attacks on Friday and another six died on Thursday.

The Israeli air strikes are controversial because innocent bystanders are often caught in the blasts.

This man is searching for victims of the Israeli attack on the Hamas HQ.

The strikes come against the backdrop of Palestinian infighting in Gaza.

Members of the Islamist Hamas party have been involved in several days of fighting with the secular Fatah group.

Some 50 people have died in clashes between the rival groups and several truces have quickly broken down.

Jostling for control of the security forces seems to be behind the latest round of violence.

The Hamas rocket attacks have been seen as an attempt to drawn Israel into a dispute that is between Palestinian factions.

This carnage was the consequence of an Israeli missile strike.

Some observers say the reaction of Israel could unite the warring Palestinian factions.

From what I've heard an Israeli woman was killed today by a Hamas rocket. The story said she was driving her car when it was hit by a rocket.
