Which Islamic field would you want to excel in?


Would you want to be a scholar of Qur'an, hadith? Caller to Islaam? Full time wife? Islamic Economics?



There's loads of fields you can go in, what kind of field would be your top priority in life?

The full time wife thing was for sisters who might want to bring up their children according to Islamic teachings.. something which has alot of reward too.

Full time house wife because now that i have the cleaning tips from the other thread i can get everything dun while doing everything else (merging tasks)and when kids are at school between 9 and 3.. thats 6 hours..!! (if blesses me with young 'uns, InshaAllah) i could work with youths in the community or become event organiser.. good way to give dawah.. know what i'm sayin..

InshaAllah!!! but depends on what my husband agrees with also..

I chose Imaam. Mainly because I can see age as being an advantage. Plus it would mean I would have to continue improving on my Arabic and would give me motivation to strive harder to be Hafiz.

I'm being selfish as I see the benefits it would do me, I also believe that because I would benefit I would have something I could share with others.

Would be cool to be a proper, hardcore, Imam of Hadith, though that's kind of sealed up in a way.

I would love to excel in the recitation of Qur'an and also in the translation of literature to some extent.

So a Muhaddith, Hafidh, would love to be a MUjadid, and the most important to me, a destroyer/subduer of Innovation!!

Plus a close resemblence of Abu Hurayra. May Allah be pleased with him.

I'd like to do my part for islam by educating muslims and non muslims about what islam really is, clearing up misconceptions, and just helping spread knowledge in general. the Practice of Islam is what I would like to excel in - the rest is academic and could be a burden for the one who keeps the knowledge yet is unable to practice it. makes one a donkey.

And I'm learning first hand what being a donkey feels like... so yes, I would like to excel in the practice of Deen rather than the theory and discussion of it. Which in most cases, is kinda pointless.
