Bonjour,

I was wondering what muslims thought about Joshua. Is Joshua considered a prophet in islam?

And also, do muslims believe that it was Joshua ho brought the Jews to Eretz Yisrael? Do you guys beleive in Jericho(Yareho) and all that?

I have only seen one islamic site that speaks of Joshua. They basically quote the Bible have the time So are there any quranic/hadiths/tafsir on Joshua from islamic sources?

Prophet Joshua (alaihi salaam) was a great Prophet of Allah, among the bani Israeel. He is better known as Yusha among the Muslims. He is spoken of in the Holy Quran as the attendant of Moses (Alaihi salaam):

When they had passed on (some distance), Moses said to his attendant: "Bring us our early meal; truly we have suffered much fatigue at this (stage of) our journey." (18:62)
