When Joe Darby saw the horrific photos of abuse at Abu Ghraib prison he was stunned.

...

Joe Darby knew what he saw was wrong, but it took him three weeks to decide to hand those photographs in. When he finally did, he was promised anonymity and hoped he would hear no more about it.

...

His wife had no idea that Mr Darby had handed in those photos, but when he was named, she had to flee to her sister's house which was then vandalised with graffiti. Many in his home town called him a traitor.
Your thoughts? Not exactly motivation...

Just admin stuff not to do with the news itself: I added the direct link to the news story, which is in fact contained in the blog link you gave - in future though, please link directly to the news site itself.

Salaam,

Thea ffect on the guy is understandable..

For the Iraqis are alredy deemed as terrorist,,,every terrorist by the common american.

the abuse in abu Ghriab has been going on for 2 years ,,and it would have gone on and on and on..

to say that the Bush adminstration would have stopped the abuse if the soldeir had handed the pictures to thme is laughable...

Look at the stories in the media about US admistrative pleading ignorace to all manner of inquiries..

But on the land the Iraqis know that the US admisnitration are not in it for them,,thus the insurgency.

People fight for freedom and inshallah in time the war will be brought to the enemy ...
As the Bush admistration say..
Kill them there before they kill us here..

Muslim should take note of this motto, but not forget the law of Islam..
