What conditions apply to a non-muslim who wants to study the quran?

wa'alaikum as'salaam

it's good for him to just handle the translation only and not one with arabic text in it. If he wants the arabic and is plan on learning arabic as well and is serious about it then the should learn the etiquettes of handling the Quran, ex: properly cleansing oneself, sitting clean place, and other adaabs.
