Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah :sl:

Insha Allah everyone is doing well.

This december insha Allah i plan on getting married. Althought it will be overseas in india, im a brother who was born and raised in the states.

I do not have a cultural background in india and want my wedding to be complete sunnah.

I really wanted to wear something beautiful and noble for my nikah,

so far i have come accrose shukronline .com and seen some pretty cool stuff.

I want it to be adhering to the Sunnah yet extremely noble, and nice like the stuff (damascan jubbah) on shukronline.

I would love some suggestions insha Allah.

I was thinking beige, or black jubba with a black white striped imamah, or a damascan jubba

Congratulations brother,
I know you dont have any culture relating to india but i think if you have garments for marriage in your culture i think its ok to wear that i will double check or you could always pick up something when you get to india they have lots of beautiful garments for both men and womans garments. Just make sure you get it for a good price...for some reason the price tends to go up for non locals...lol

Jazak Allah, what are you talking about? that traditional indian thing? i think its too much to wear, and it will give me a headache, i have come to know, indian customs make you wear 50lbs of flowers, so its gunna be nasty. so something simple yet sophisticated would be nice.

jazakumullahu khair

Yea if you can double check that, it would be good, then i have to see if their cultural wedding garments are ugly or not.
lol, the price is always higher for non locals, but thats ok, lets see what i can do about it insha Allah, im deff going to make custom tailored thobes while im there, but lets see what i can find for my wedding insha Allah

Hi SunnahGuy!

I'm not able to help you find the right style but I want to wish you both the best of luck in your new life!

And if someone offers to bring you sight-seeing in a desert, don't forget to bring a compass in case you have to find your way back! :giggling:

Oh, and keep a good eye on your shoes.
