304 news photos with ramadan in the description, whew, that's a lot. Let's see how many I can put up.

It's kind of odd to see pictures of muslimeen already breaking their fast, while here in the US, we just started. Ahh, the ummah.

Six Year 1 (7 year-old) students of Tanjung Aru 1 National School, Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia) determined to fast for the whole day of the 1st Ramadan even they're tired and hungry. (From right) Lia Nadirah Hussin, Nur Farahiya Azman, Adibah Rosli, Mohd Loqman Hakim Omar, Mohd Hafizal Zailan and Mohd Zulhairi Harun were spending their recess yesterday by reading at the school's canteen. Even they're first-timer fasting in Ramadhan, they are all determined that they could fast until the iftar (breaking fast) period on the first day they fast. They admitted that they're so tired as they never fast before but confident that they could fast easily after few days of fasting.

On the eve of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, an Iraqi man cleans the carpet at a mosque in Baghdad.

Thousands pray at Jakarta's Istiqlal mosque, the largest in south-east Asia.

The last sunset before Ramadan in Gaza... The Middle East began the festival on Friday, a day after Libya and Nigeria.

Indian Muslims also gathered in large numbers at this mosque in Delhi.

Arif Peter, 49, converted to Islam five years ago and have been attending the buka puasa sessions at Perkim every year.

“I remember I had a hard time fasting for the first time. I kept getting headaches and my body didn't feel right. It was easier the second year,” said Arif.

He felt scared when he initially became a Muslim but he joined his friends and other “saudara baru” and they helped each other learn about the religion.

Somali children rummage through garbage to look for food in Mogadishu, Somalia, Monday, Sept. 17, 2007. Somalia is facing skyrocketing food prices during the holy month of Ramadan, the latest blow in a country struggling with a deadly insurgency, residents said Monday. Staple foods such as rice, spaghetti and cooking oil have nearly doubled in price, and many blame the lack of security combined with the monsoon season, which makes it perilous for ships carrying food to arrive in port. recording? I think the story had national importance and was covered in their news papers from what I gather.
A funeral serves to bring closure to all the people who were out looking for her and shows care and support to her parents.
Even though she has left in body, she has touched everyone's heart...
I didn't find anything wrong with it.. I am glad I had the chance to learn about her, so I may include her in my prayers.

Amin Ya Rabb...

Actually through several PMs, syilla told me that there is a similarity between this case and several cases happened in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur.

Similarities:
- all victims are young girls (below 10 yr old)
- that ******* stuff cucumbers and brinjals into their private part

The only difference that Nurin's dead and other survived.

From the reports, it's said that the method the killer use to stuff those brinjals/cucumbers inside Nurin's private part is so "experienced"... which means he has done it several times before.

A very "sick" man!!!!!

Do you think he is a serial rapist/killer?... did the first victim identify him as the man from CCTV images?.. I can't understand what it is that turns some men into animals?... I can't imagine the horror of this girl as he rotured her.. honestly it kills me imsad... Allah yerhmha.. I think her troubles are beyond any counseling or remedy this world could have offered.. Allah chose her for heaven and insha'Allah she is at rest now.. insha'Allah she is happy now... KUALA LUMPUR 21 Sept - Police would not reject the speculation that "Kampung Baru Molester" might be involved in the killing of Nurin Jazlin Jazimin, 8 year-old, which her body was found in an awful manner last Monday.

Datuk Christopher Wan Soo Koo, the Director of Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation said that the police force is investigating in all aspects including the "Kampung Baru Molester" which still being hunted by the police force since 3 months ago.

"Police would investigate the death of Nurin Jazlin and hunt the killer of the unfortunate girl."

It's well understood by Utusan Malaysia, that the modus operandi of "Kampung Baru Molester" or "Brother Cat" is kidnapping girls after asking them to find his cat and convincing them with his sad face.

The suspect using this tactic to entice young girls to follow him to find his "lost cat". After being kidnapped, the girls would be molested.

The suspect is believed to use dialogues such as:

"Adik (young sister), did you see Abang's (big brother) cat?"

"Can you find me the cat?"

Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Al Masry (He's Malaysian Arab) will make history as the first Malaysian to be in space. The Soyuz TMA-11 would be launched today at 9.22pm. (Malaysian Time). He would be the first Muslim to observe fasting on Ramadhan and celebrating Eid Al Fitr in space.

He said that he will be hosting Eid party on board the space station. He has taken Satay and Eid cookies to treat the others on board.

Malaysian viewers can watch the launch of the rocket on Channel 588 on Astro.
