Bleeding from the Mouth/Nose Whilst Fasting

Question:

Does bleeding from the gum of the fasting person break his fast?

Answer:

Bleeding from a person does not affect the fast, but he should try to avoid swallowing it as much as possible. Similarly, if his nose bleeds and he tries to avoid swallowing it, there is nothing incumbent upon him in this regard and he is not obliged to make up for it.

O ye who believe, do not make haram the. good things which Allah has made halal for you. And do not transgress; Allah does not like the transgressors. ... (and vise versa)

:sl:

what if a person bleeds from the Nose so much that (s)he becomes dizzy?
Does (s)he not need immediate treatment (fluid replacemet) to avoid serious damage?

edit

nosebleeding is entirely different to little seepage from sore gums!

:salamext:

Illness is one of the permissible excuses for breaking the fast:

So if you are bleeding to the extent that you need medical treatment, this is different to simple bleeding of the gums. Which is usually not so serious.

:sl: Very useful. Remember guys, always double check for info you see on the net. Go to a mosque, approach an imaam/scholar (those learned in the religion), and get info you need straight from them. The internet is full of deceit. Jazakallah kheyr sis. :)
