:sl:

I have $300 in zakat to donate and I want somebody to point me to some well known, trusted organizations to whom I can give my zakat to forward to the needy people. I know there are many sites but Im afraid some may have some ill-hearted intentions, so Im asking the members here for some advice, Inshallah.

Peace be unto you all

Just curious ima bit concern about donating zakat online

most companies they use a 3rd party system to do their transaction and they usually take a cut out of it
for example muslim hands they use worldpay each transaction made thru them worldpay takes a cut

so if u give 300£ in zakaat and say worldpay takes 5% cut aint the charity losin money this way?

i dont get it how it works

anyone?

The Prophet (SAW) said “He who feeds a fasting person will gain the same reward as he will, without decreasing from the fasting person’s rewards.”(Ahmad)

This is a month when Muslims across the world join in unity to perform prayers and fasting. No doubt you will agree that we must also unite to help all the poor and suffering throughout the world.
Let this be an opportunity for us all to help the millions of our Brothers and Sisters suffering all over the world including those in Niger and Mali without any safe water to drink.
Let us remember those in Darfur affected by the humanitarian crisis leaving many without food, water, shelter and clothes and the thousands of children all over the world deprived of the everyday resources that we take for granted.
Let’s also reach out to those affected by the floods that swept across South Asia in summer 2007.
Bangladesh Flood Emergency -Over 10 million people have been affected by heavy flooding that submerged nearly half of Bangladesh ...........
Pakistan Flood Emergency -Islamic Relief is supporting over 94,000 people after Cyclone Yemyin wreaked havoc on Pakistan’s southwest coast..........
Sudan Flood Appeal - Flash floods and torrential rains in Sudan have killed more than 100 people, damaged 46,000 homes, and made thousands homeless...

Let us all pray that the coming year allows us to work in harmony and help make a difference in the lives of others who are less fortunate.
Islamic Help has made arrangements that will get your Sadaqah, Zakah and Fitrana to those most in need of help.Islamic Help also has provisions to deal with Kafara (broken fasts), Fidya (if you are unable to fast) and Fitrana (click here for definition).

As'salaamu alaikum,

also i like to note and make this request. If you have any zakat ul Maal and/or know anyone who hasn't given it yet. My aunt knows several widowers that are in dire need and no means of income. If you like to help these widowers and their orphan kids, inshallah PM me.

Jazakallahu khair.

If anyone desires to give a gift to any specific people they are aware of in Palestine the alternating link at the top of the forum can help with that.

It can be used also to donate genericaly in which it will be used for the most needy. I have checked them out. their records are open to the public, they are run only by volunteers and 100% of all donations go to the recipients. there are no administrative fees. Donations can be made in any manner that is the most economical for the donor.

If anybody needs or desires more info feel free to PM me.
