best way to avoid temptations:
* dua (ask allah for guidace and strength)
* repentance
* stay away from the temptation in the first place
* concentrate on the other things in your life.

Hope it helps.

Asallama Alaikum brother why you still on-line then? :p Yeah I have 1 more hour.So I'll answer the sisters question.Be connected to the Masjid.Be friends with good people avoid all haram(even though that could be really hard at times),but you'll still get through. If there aren't good people around go solo.Atleast there's no way any one else could get you into trouble, only yourself.I'm not really sure with the drug part alhamdullilah I never was really in that situation, but the fitnah surely :D .

I am a sister in England and as a teenager I too feel that there are indeed so many temptaions. The only thing that keeps me going is doing simple things like:
Covering myself by wearing a habayah
Always looking away when the men look at me
Move away from a place that has ppl around that are doing inappropriate things:swearing, backbiting.

Sister I promise you. Simple things like this make you think twice. At first, when I was at school (Islamic) I thought: 'im going to become a really bad person.'
But, because I remember Allah in my daily life....I dont seem to be the bad person I thought I'd be.

Read Al mutakabir when in sorrow, and think you've done something inappropraite.

I thought to myself (b4 i started college).......'yeah! Ill go onto msn and chat with my muslim mates (who have boyfriends  ).
In fcat, the first thing I did was....listen to saudi shiekhs lectures, sign up to almost every islamic board.....WHY!!!!!!!!!?????????????? To keep in touch with my own ppl.

Shall I tell you waht happened by doing that? I actually managed to find someone whom I can now get the info I wanted foe so long. I can now get pics of Shiekh Sudais.

Keep thinking of Allah and Allah will remember you!!!!

Keep in touch sis. We'll work together InshAllah!!!

wow.. every1 handled it pretty well... lol now i dunno what to say

i, too, would advice you to remember Allah always ... 24/7... if u fear Allah, and u love Allah, pull urself away from evil just for the sake of Allah! start off from little things.. and when u win a battle against Shaitan, it will make u feel good (and increase ur Imaan, too, hopefully) :D

also, always make dua for Allah to guide you and others (those who r struggling, too)...

and friends...! make sure u have good friends, who can help you make it thru against Shaitan.

i remember i used to a bad kid.. but something got me intererested in joining online Islamic forums, and i learned more about Islam.. the brothers and sisters were inspiring to me.. and i changed big time! :D

1. go to the masjid every friday for jumma or if you cant make jummah go for magrib and isha. talk with many ppl there, get involved in youth groups.

2.Read the quran daily, but don't just try to read it try to understand its meaning.

3. if the situation around u is bad try to change it. make dawa to as many ppl as possible, inshallah

4 make sure you do all your salat on time. especially fajr.

Assalamu Alaikam Waramatuallah Wabarakatu

In my opinion, be around other devoted Muslims inside and outside of school. Even just talk to another faithfull Muslim online through AIM or something. Instant Imam boost for me.
