Bismillah-Ir-Raham-Ir-Raheem, :D

AsalamuAlaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,

For the brothers:

Alhamdulillah Allah (Subhana wa ta'ala) has given us the opportunity to see another Ramadhan but before its final moments slip away I wanted to share a few ways of capturing easy good deeds to multiply our reward inshaAllah without having to spend a penny:

1) The Messenger of Allah(Sallalhi Alayhi Wassalam) said "When a Muslim visits his sick Muslim brother in the morning, seventy thousand angels make dua for his forgiveness till the evening. And when he visits him in the evening, seventy thousand angels make dua for his forgiveness till the morning, and he will be granted a garden for it in Jannah." (Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood)

In Luton, there are many who we can visit but if you cannot think of one immediately you may remember [or not] Br Siddique Sandbach, an 84 year old revert Muslim who is now living alone in a town centre flat and despite his age and breathing problems continues to fast every day of Ramadhan. MashaAllah. Even if you do not know him, give him a call and revive the brotherhood [ummah] of Islam by giving him a call on 01582 510141 and checking on his health and situation.

For the sisters:

"Every son of Adam must perform an act of charity (Sadaqah) every day that sun rises in. The people said: "O Messenger of Allah, how can we obtain this Sadaqah that we give it to those who deserve it?" He said: "There are many ways of doing good such as praising Allah(alhamdulillah), glorifying Allah(subhanAllah), claiming His Magnificence(Allahuakbar), declaring that there is no god except the One God, Allah (La ilaha illAllah), enjoining the right and forbidding the wrong, removing an obstacle from one's path, helping the deaf to hear, guiding the blind, directing the one seeking help and striving to one's utmost in helping the needy and the weak".

Next Tuesday 9th October there will be a womens only charity event for a local charity, Friends of Bright Eyes, who support children with disability of whom 99% are Muslim. Let your sisters, wives and mothers know about this and fulfil this sadaqah of helping those in need - the event is in

Bury Park Community Centre from
7pm-10pm
27th Ramadhan
9th October.

For everyone: ;D

In these last 10 days the Prophet(Sallalhi Alayhi Wassalam) used to withdraw to the masjid in itikaaf to engage in more worship and seclude himself from society.

Although we may not have been able to do this, this year we can capture the reward of doing it manifold by following another Sunnah of the Prophet(Sallalhi Alayhi Wassalam) - feeding a fasting person. The Prophet(Sallalhi Alayhi Wassalam) said: He who provides food for the breaking of the fast of another person earns the same merit as the one who was observing fast without diminishing the reward of that person (Tirmidhi).

Take this magnificent opportunity to supply food for those doing itikaaf in local masaajid - if you are not able to find a masjid which does not already have provisions, Rabia Masjid (Portland Road) in Luton has a number of available days which you can take advantage of. InshaAllah wa ta'ala.

I won't advise you (snowy) to travel here,

Ok let's rephrase it:

Say if you're in Bristol *rolls eyes*

And you want to get included also, just simply apply the hadith's to where you live,

so you can donate to a charity near you, visit a sick relative near you or try ithikaf closer to home.

Take care of yourself sis. ;D :D
