Hello my name is Alaa and I'm 19. Alhamdulilah I've been Muslim since the day I was born but I feel like I could be doing more. I've read the Quran in English because I've always focused mostly on my school studies so I only know how to read simple arabic. However at this point, I'd like to extend my memorization of the Quran but I'm having trouble.

I learned when I was younger by being taught by word of mouth and memorizing it with teachers and my mom. Also, my mom gave me a small Quran when I was younger that had the suras in arabic but written in english. That's what I'm looking for now. That was a long time ago so unfortunately I dont have it anymore but I'm looking for a new and inshallah a more extensive version. I'd like to be able to memorize more suras without being forced to take a full course in arabic (although that is on my todo list). I just want to get started with reading again as soon as possible.

To be more specific, I'm looking for a Quran that has the words in arabi written in english and also if possible, the translation on the side so I know what I'm reading. That's just something extra, the main thing I want is the ability to read and memorize the quran. I have many books on the quran and hadiths so translation is the least of my concerns.

Thanks for any help that people can give me.

i think you are looking for a "real" one, but until you can find one, you might find this site useful.
it has the arabic and the transliteration and translation and you can also hear it. good luck.

Thank you for that link. That's exactly what I was looking for but didnt know the word for it; transliteration. Now if I can just find a book on it.

Thank you again, I think this'll definitely help my search!

:sl: Do you mean Quraan transliteration sis? Well, here's a website that has benefitted me so far in memorizing the Quraan. May it be of benefit to you too inshaa'Allah. http://transliteration.org/quran/Web...ble/Fram2E.htm :w:
