Talk about going ape. What a grotesquely stupid thing for that guy to do.
That said, play nice everyone. Slanging matches tend to close threads...

Wait a minute. How is one to deduce from this article that the victim held the Darwinian position?
Couldn't it just as easily been titled "impassioned evolutionary biologist stabs man"?
Me thinks Omar is trying to imply that there are Christian nutbars about (which there are of course..but this seems not to be an example).
I went to a Evolution vs Creation debate once at a fundamentalist church near my university. One of my Biology profs and a Chemsitry prof took on a travelling Creationist who, even though his arguments were a bit circumspect, was quite glib. It was a howling good time and nobody got stabbed.
It seems to me this story is more about what alcohol does to judgement.
Question though...what does Islam have to say about "creation"? Is it silent on the issue? Does this come up or is there teaching of evolution in "Islamic" countries?

I think that sums it up. The 'debate' could just as well have been about anything from the sound of it.

Killing your ideological opponent used to be a very popular method to finding out who was right about certain topics.
Glad to see someone is trying to bring back the style! lol

God created mankind and the universe.
Dinosaurs are a lie.
Atheism and Agnosticism is false and misguided.
Christian fundamentalists are my best freinds.
