Assalamu Alaikum, here are some amazing rap lyrics... i posted the actual song, but it had haram instruments i never noticed...lol...so here, i only payed attention to the words anyway..:

I wish you were here
Here next to me
Been missing you so
So desperately
But lately I feel
Like you feel and
I see what you see
How I'm missing you

What happened to the ummah
Once known so well...

I wish you were here
Here next to me
Been missing you so
So desperately
But lately I feel
Like you feel and
I see what you see
How I'm missing you

What happened to the ummah
Once known so well
Greatness was known
But now can u tell
Used to inspire others with our way of thinking and speech
People came from afar just to hear us teach
Yo what happened to the ummah
Once known so well
Greatness was known
But now can u tell
Mosques are empty, refrigerators are stocked
We lost our deen we feel secure
'Cause our mansions are locked
In my teen years salah wasn't really that tight
Now I gotta pray each one of them twice
What happened to the ummah
Once known so well
Greatness was known
But now can u tell
Brother we prefer light skinned women
While righteously maintaining our deen against racism
What happened to the ummah
Once known so well
Greatness was known
But now can u tell

I wish you were here
Here next to me
Been missing you so
So desperately
But lately I feel
Like you feel and
I see what you see
How I'm missing you

What happened to the ummah once known so well
Greatness was known, but now can u tell
Kids in Africa are starving - can't afford to cry
I'll pay interest for a car I can't afford to buy
What happened to the ummah once known so well
Greatness was known, but now can u tell?
We used to smile at each other, with faces full of light
Now we frown at each other, we bicker and we fight
Pops in the mosque praying, kids in the streets hating
Kids on the corner selling, pops in the mosque preachin'
What happened to the ummah once known so well
Greatness was known but now can u tell?
The Quran has left out hearts stranded, hanging on out walls
6232verses, so strong
9 out of 10 of us can't even read or write
1924 feels distant like way before Christ

I wish you were here
Here next to me
Been missing you so
So desperately
But lately I feel
Like you feel and
I see what you see
How I'm missing you

Que le pasó a la maza
Como puede ser
La grandeza conocida
No la puedo ver
He visto como mi figura cae en tentación
A pesar de que la vida a sido buena con luz e ilusion
He pedido perdón por mis pecados
Tengo la cruz sobre mi cama y el diablo a mi lado
Que le pasó a la maza
Como puede ser
La belleza conocida
No la puedo ver
He sentido incompetencia buscando la verdad
Todos dicen conocerla solo veo la maldad
Que le pasó a la maza
Como puede ser
La pureza conocida
No la puedo ver

[Translation:]
What happened to the people
How can it be
Greatness was known
But now can you tell
I've watched myself fall from grace
Even though life has been good, filled with hopes and dreams
I've asked forgiveness for my sins
I have the cross above my bed and the devil by my side
What happened to the people
How can it be
Beauty was known
But now can you tell

If I was to fall on my knees and ask you to forgive everything for the Lord, out of Love, for the One,
oh oh oh... I've seen
And if u were to fall on ya knees and ask me the same
Brother, don't even think about it, lets just break out of the darkness of ignorance

I wish you were here
Here next to me
Been missing you so
So desperately
But lately I feel
Like you feel and
I see what you see
How I'm missing you ...

and here is another one...

You, you’re not aware
That we’re aware
Of your despair
Don’t show your tears
To your oppressor
Don’t show your tears

CHORUS:
Try not to cry little one
You’re not alone
I’ll stand by you
Try not to cry little one
My heart is your stone
I’ll throw with you

Isam:
‘Ayn Jalut where David slew Goliath
This very same place that we be at
Passing through the sands of times
This land’s been the victim of countless crimes
From Crusaders and Mongols
to the present aggression
Then the Franks, now even a crueller oppression
If these walls could speak,
imagine what would they say

For me in this path that I walk on
there's only one way
Bullets may kill, bones may break
Still I throw stones like David before me and I say

CHORUS

You, you’re not aware
That we’re aware
Of your despair
Your nightmares will end
This I promise, I promise

CHORUS

Lenny:
No llores, no pierdas la fe
La sed la calma el que haze
Agua de la arena
Y tu que te levantas con orgullo entre las piedras
Haz hecho mares de este polvo
Don’t cry, don’t lose faith
The one who made water come out of the sand
Is the one who quenches the thirst
And you who rise proud from between the stones
Have made oceans from this dust

Waqas:
I throw stones at my eyes
’cause for way too long they’ve been dry
Plus they see what they shouldn’t from oppressed babies to thighs
I throw stones at my tongue
’cause it should really keep its peace
I throw stones at my feet
’cause they stray and lead to defeat
A couple of big ones at my heart
’cause the thing is freezing cold
But my nafs is still alive
and kicking unstoppable and on a roll
I throw bricks at the devil so I’ll be sure to hit him
But first at the man in the mirror
so I can chase out the venom

Isam:
Hmm, a little boy shot in the head
Just another kid sent out to get some bread
Not the first murder nor the last
Again and again a repetition of the past
Since the very first day same story
Young ones, old ones, some glory
How can it be, has the whole world turned blind?
Or is it just ’cause it’s only affecting my kind?!
If these walls could speak,
imagine what would they say
For me in this path that I walk on
there’s only one way
Bullets may kill, bones may break
Still I throw stones like David before me and I say

if you wanna hear the halal version of this song here it is, and everyone says its not haram. http://youtube.com/watch?v=WxUKRgwC8u0

masha'alla .. it's nice sister.

can I share you with other lyrics?

THE VEIL:
They say, "Oh, poor girl, you're so beautiful you know
It's a shame that you cover up your beauty so."
She just smiles and graciously responds reassuringly,
"This beauty that I have is just one simple part of me.
This body that I have, no stranger has the right to see.
These long clothes, this shawl I wear, ensure my modesty.
Faith is more essential than fashion, wouldn't you agree?
This hijab,
This mark of piety,
Is an act of faith, a symbol,
For all the world to see.
A simple cloth, to protect her dignity.
So lift the veil from your heart to see the heart of purity.
They tell her, "Girl, don't you know this is the West and you are free?
You don't need to be opressed, ashamed of your femininity."
She just shakes her head and she speaks so assuredly,
"See the bill-boards and the magazines that line the check-out isles, with their phony painted faces and their air-brushed smiles?
Well their sheer clothes and low cut gowns are really not for me.
You call it freedom, I call it anarchy."
This hijab,
This mark of piety,
Is an act of faith, a symbol,
For all the world to see.
A simple cloth, to protect her dignity.
So lift the veil from your heart to see the heart of purity.
Lift the veil from your heart and seek the heart of purity.

DON'T TALK TO ME ABOUT MOHAMMAD:
It would be such a pleasure to have you come along with me,
I accept your gracious offer of kindness and company.
But as we walk along young man and as you help me with my load,
I’ve only one request as we travel down this road,
Don’t talk to me about Muhammad.
Because of him there is no peace and I have trouble in my mind,
so don’t talk to me about Muhammad
and as we walk along together we will get along just fine,
and as we walk along together we will get along.
That man upsets me so, and so much more than you could know,
I hear of his name and reputation everywhere I go.
Though his family and his clan once knew him as an honest man,
he’s dividing everyone with his claim that “God is One”
So don’t talk to me about Muhammad.
Because of him there is no peace and I have trouble in my mind,
so don’t talk to me about Muhammad
and as we walk along together we will get along just fine,
and as we walk along together we will get along.
He’s misled all the weak ones and the poor ones and the slaves,
They think they’ve all found wealth and freedom following his ways.
He’s corrupted all the youth with his twisted brand of truth
convinced them they all are strong, given them somewhere to belong.
So don’t talk to me about Muhammad.
Because of him there is no peace and I have trouble in my mind,
so don’t talk to me about Muhammad
and as we walk along together we will get along just fine,
and as we walk along together we will get along.
Thank you now young man, you’ve really been so kind
Your generosity and smile are very rare to find.
Let me give you some advice, since you’ve been so very nice,
From Muhammad stay away, don’t heed his words or emulate his way.
And don’t talk about Muhammad,
or you will never have true peace and trouble is all you will find.
So don’t talk about Muhammad
and as you travel down life’s road you will get along just fine.
Now before we part and go, if it’s alright just the same,
may I ask, my dear young man, who you are? What is your name?
Forgive me - what was that? Your words weren’t very clear,
my ears are getting old - sometimes its difficult to hear.
It is truly rather funny, though I’m sure I must be wrong,
but I thought I heard you said that your name is Muhammad......
Muhammad?
Ash haduallah ilaha il Allah wa Ash hadu ana Muhammad ur-Rasulullah.
Oh talk to me Muhammad!
Upon you I pray for peace for you have eased my troubled mind!
Oh talk to me Muhammad
and as we walk along together we will get along just fine,
and as I travel down life’s road I will get along just fine.

SUNSHINE, DUST AND THE MESSENGER
Morning light through the bedroom window
Slow motion dust specks swirling in the sun
I close my eyes, and I’m floating along.
Sun did you warm the face of the Prophet
The way you warm mine, and make this room glow.
Dust were you brushed from the beard of the Prophet,
Coming from Jihad so long ago.
CHORUS:
Allah humma Salli Ala Muhammad
Ya Rabbal Alameen
Allah humma Salli Ala Muhammad
Salallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam
Rain pouring down upon my garden.
Rhythm of the rain that sings its song.
I close my eyes, and I’m floating along.
Rhythm of rain were you once a river,
That purified the Prophet before his prayers.
Were you the same breath from the lips of the Prophet,
Carrying wisdom to thirsty ears?
CHORUS
Sharp clear crescent, lighting the blue night
Slipping in silence through the star scattered sky
I close my eyes, and I know that I belong.
Were you the same moon who lit the way of the Prophet,
Slipping through the desert on his Hijrah.
Stars did you map the way to Madinah
For the blessed Messenger of Allah?
CHORUS
And I close my eyes, and I’m floating along.
And I close my eyes, and I’m drumming along.
And I close my eyes, and I know that I belong.

I hope you like theme, peace

Forgive my ignorance, but isn't music considered haram?

I've heard that it was and that it wasn't.

the best outlandish song is Look into my eyes!!, but they should stop using musical instruments!! if they are singing for the cause of islam,

my favo nasheed

Zain bikha - Orphan child, tell me if u like it guys because i know alot if u like this style! thanks

She was just standing there, little girl all alone
Barely covered head to toe, barely just twelve years old
Why is she all alone, why's the world just so cold
Why don't we play our part what has hardened our hearts?
What has hardened our hearts?

Underneath the waterfall, million dollar shopping mall
Two boys play their games, helps to keep them nice and warm
Thousand people walking by, feeding their vain desire
Don't they see, are they blind, Allah loves the orphan child
Allah loves the orphan child

Like our Beloved Muhammad, Peace be upon Him
He was an orphan and Allah sheltered him
What status is given to these children… children?

Just by the riverside, right next to that orphan child
Families come to play, they don't see that's where she stays
Looking through empty eyes, who cares that she might die
O my child, don't you cry, Allah loves you more than I
Allah Love's you more

She was standing there, barely just twelve years old
What has hardened our hearts, why's the world just so cold

truemuslim - sis, i love it.. outlandish's lyrics are great to most of their tracks and you're right about the instruments :O - forget! lets focus on the lyrics.. we can still read, if we cant listen

Mariam - I see you are a dawud wharnsby's fan.. His tracks and zain bhika's are soo nice and soothing and just so nicely put.. I really like "dont talk to me about Mohammed" when i first heard it.. i was like, whoaa! wots goin on here then the end made me smile :) Also, the veil.. makes you feel so beautiful about the hijab haina?! There are times everyone feels like I dont look right and you lose focus of the bigger picture and then hearing such words just bring it back.. we are so lucky to have such reminders around us.. lectures, nasheeds on hijab..

I personally love this and it makes me cry everytime.

Zain Bhika / Naadira Ali - My Mum is Amazing

She wakes up early in the morning with a smile
And she holds my head up high
Don’t you ever let anybody put you down
Cos you are my little angel

Then she makes something warm for me to drink
Cos it’s cold out there, she thinks
Then she walks me to school, Yes I aint no fool
I just think my Mom is amazing

BRIDGE/CHORUS
She makes me feel
Like I can do anything
and when she’s with me
there’s no where else, I’d rather be…

After School, she’s waiting by the gate
I’m so happy that I just can’t wait
To get home to tell her how my day went
And eat the yummy food, only my Mom makes

Then I wind her up cos I don’t wanna bath
And we run around the house with a laugh
No matter what I say, she gets her way
I think my Mom is amazing

BRIDGE/CHORUS

Then I wake up in the morning, she’s not there
And I realize she never was
And I’m still here in this lonely orphanage
With so many just like me

And as my dreams begin to fade
I try hard to look forward to my day
But there’s a pain in my heart that’s a craving
How I wish I had a Mom that’s amazing
Would be amazing
