does anyone know if there is such a thig. I know there is one for sahih bukhari, called Fath ul-bari, but what about for sahih muslim? or is that what fath al-majeed is?

I think that its called Fath al Mulhim > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fath_al-Mulhim

Theres Imam Nawawis Sharh of Sahih Muslim. I think its about 9 volumes.

Salam Maryam,
The best explanation of Sahih Muslim is for Imam Al Nawawi. As for Fath Al majeed, it is a book in one volume on Tawheed. :smile::peace:

Just curious- would lay people like us even be able to properly understand the book? It would probably be so complex...

I'm not sure about that one, but i found an english translation of Fathul-Majeed here > http://www.mohdy.name/pdfs/e102.pdf

The site is in arabic, so i couldn't undersntand most of it but you might be able to find Sharh Sahih Muslim through their site > www.mohdy.com if they have it :)

Fath Al Majeed is by Sheikh Abdur-Rahman ibn Hassan Aal-Sheikh I think

but the link that bro seeker_of_ilm gave is right, under each section there is the sharh of Imam Nawawi
