Missed Sunnah Prayers

Assalaamu alaykum,

If one misses a prayer time, is only the fard required to make up, or the sunnah prayers as well? Or would the sunnah prayers be optional? Thanks.

first of all, a fard prayer should b done as soon as possible, then the sunnahs (m or gm) could b done at any time. the fard and sunnahs r there to make up 4 any mandatory salahs u hav missed on the Day.
