:sl:

although Dr Zakir Naik addresses them somewhat, other da'ees have totally ignored the hindus and sikhs, concentrating on da'wah to christians, jews and atheists.

i live in leicester, many of my neighbours are hindus and sikhs and yet if i didnt have a background and experience in da'wah where would i have found the tools needed to give them da'wah?

if you go to any islamic book shop, mashallah lots of books aimed on giving da'wah to christians and atheists, but even in a place like leicester nothing on how to address the hindus and sikhs who live in the same streets and areas as us.

True!!
I have been thinking about this, why they concentrating on Jews, Christians and atheists? Is it because they are the majority?
Even if they are, that is not an excuse to ignore them....

I think you mean "excellent books on Islam & other religions".

Any decent work of comparative religion examines both points of view with equal emphasis, attempting to present them from the appropriate perspective as necessary.

Probably because Allah SWT directly addresses the People of the Book.

Whoops good point.

Hmm.... I got nothing. Its probably because Jews and Christians are the closest to us so its easier to make dawah.

good point for me, i am white and english,

but why do people who speak the same languages, come from the same places, eat the same food, wear many of the same style clothes and have simular cultural outlooks look to english reverts to many da'wah to hindus and sikhs?
