Between 300,000 and one million Indonesians were killed in the mass-killings following the arrest of PKI members in Sukarno's cabinet on October 6, 1965. Both the military and auxiliaries from conservative Muslim, Catholic, Hindu and secular nationalist militias conducted the killings.[citation needed] Though most communists were identified by locals, the CIA is known to have supplied the Indonesian military with a list of 10,000 suspected communists. Ironically, a CIA study of the events in Indonesia assessed that "In terms of the numbers killed the anti-PKI massacres in Indonesia rank as one of the worst mass murders of the 20th century

Maybe, but praying for forgiveness is better than cursing people.

Dictator or not... it depends on the person that you ask...

For Malaysians, Suharto ended Indonesia vs. Malaysia confrontation started by Sukarno. Sukarno accused Malaysia for being British's proxy in the region and decided to send army to confront Malaysia... and he did so by sending some soldiers to the west coast of Malaysia. But, Suharto ended this confrontation. He established good relationship with our former Prime Minister, Tun Mahathir. He also managed to persuade Malaysia to accept millions of Indonesian workers...who really need Malaysian money to send home..

Since then, both countries have amicable relationship.
