this topic really attracted me to register in this forum, about anasheed, I have what to say..
please remember Allah in all your deeds, and see what can be every did according to Islamic laws..
Anasheed are allowed in Islam, to remember Allah and his prophet .. but :
1st- not all of them are allowed, should be without instruments (see http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/F...716/music.html for english and http://www.saaid.net/Minute/m94.htm for arabic, arabic version is better for who knows both)
2nd- even allowed nasheeds should not take much from our time because it's not our goal in this life, let's try to read and learn Quran and make our voices nice in tilawa ;-)

Awww how difficult for you :)
anyway mesheAllah, I encourage you cuz you are trying your best, but I wanna give you too points :
1st- nasheed (or music) are not necessary for life :giggling: we can live without, and learning the recitation of Quran will really make you forget..
2nd- there are many good nasheeds, I'll give you insheAllah in the right time, I'm still in my first day in this forum :S

ohhh nooo :X
please try your best to become a normal person, lol sorry i like kidding.. :giggling:
if you listen to nasheeds 24/7 so when reciting Quran, teaching religion...
sthg to add, any instrument used there it will become music not nasheed :rollseyes , and it's prohibited.
nice to see you again :) , take care please :thankyou:

There music meant to have a Islamic meaning in it, well there's not instruments allowed to be used except drums.

Can anyone give the defention to Nasheeds, I'm just guessing here.:?

Theres a difference of opinion on that brother. Some scholars say that if its copyright, then you should buy it instead - but some nasheed artists give their nasheeds away for free, Allaah Almighty knows best.

And i think nasheeds are just islamic songs.

Urm....at the moment...nah not really, perhaps I'll come back to this thread once I've finished my hifz ;D

But I liked a few nasheeds here and there......But not really advised to listen to anything but Quraan by my favourite recitor (Sheikh Shuraim(HA) )But I'd go for Hasbi Rabbi by Sami Yusuf (percussion version...don't worry)

My favorite is Tala'a al-badru alayna, especially as done by Yusuf Islam.

He has a fantastic performance that's up on You Tube. Just as a warning, he is playing the guitar. I also really like the second song, also in praise of the Prophet (saws).
