Salaam aleikum

Mabrouk on your pregnancy...

I must say, i went to one of those sites mentioned, and I found the meaning of my daughters name, Khadija. It means premature child :O

I was surprised. She was nowhere near premature...

Congratulations to you & your husband.

May Allah SWT make your pregnant and birth easy for you. And may your child be the coolness of your eyes and your entrance to Paradise.

You should choose either names of Prophets or Sahabi's or their respcted wives.
My sons are named after the Prophets' Uncle Hamzah and Prophet Ibraheem. Insha Allah I would like them to have the same characteristics as the people their names have been chosen from.

Once again may Allah SWT make it easy for you (both).

Masha Allah May Allah (s.w.t.) make this child the coolness of your eyes!

The best names are the names of Prophets, Sahabah/Sahabiyyah, and any of Allah(s.w.t.) ninety-nine names preceeded with 'Abdul-' e.g. Abdurahman, Abduraheem, etc.

Whatever name you decide to choose, make sure it has a pleasant meaning, because theres a saying in urdu which i really believe to be true....

'naam ka athat parta hai'

which basically means the meaning of a persons name, has a bearing on that individuals charecteristics.

My goodness, this thread is back from the dead?

lol Members, she asked this in year 2005, so I guess she has already chosen a name to her baby. :statisfie

As this thread is useless now, I shall close it.

But before that, I wish this sister and her baby a healthy life and may Allah (swt) protect you both and your families. Ameen.
