choosing is usually done between two things. but wether 1, 2, or 3
the imporatnt thing is tht istakara is done wen u are in doubt about somthing.

He (SAW) also said :
Read the Quran, because it will intercede on behalf of its ppl on th day of resurrection. read the two lights, Al-Baqarah and Al-Imran, because they will come in the shape of two clouds, two shades or two lines of birds on th day of Ressurection and will argue on behalf of their ppl.

Limit what goes in: Obvious :p
Fasting restricts the shaytaan from travelling through your blood.
Not accepted tho,

^ Yup, Handhalah radiyallahu ta'ala anh, was given the name Ghaseelul Malaa'ikah.
When the call to the Battle of Uhud was announced and the army was beginning to leave, he was having relations with his wife. In this state he heard the call for war, and heard the army leaving for the battlefield. He left everything at that moment and joined the army. He did not have a chance to do ghusl. He was martyred in the battlefield and because a shaheed is not given a gusl, he too was not given.
The Messenger of Allah salallahu 'alayhi wasallam saw the angels bathing him. He made inquiries and, on returning to Madinah, was informed by his wife of his condition, and thus he was given the name Ghaseelul Malaa'ikah.

SubhanAllah, I knew this story but didn't remember the name of the Sahabi. I tried relating the letters "Gh", "S" and "L." As they form the word "Ghusl" and so I thought "Ghaseel" must have had something to do with purifying one's self because of the same 3 letters.
I had read this in a book called "Islam and Love" by and 'Abdullah Nasih 'Ulwan and here's the excerpt from that book:
Hanzalah ibn `Abi Amer, who married Jamilah bint Ubaiy, was called in the way of Allah in the battle of Uhud. He went immediately, taking his weapon with him, and left his wife on the second day after his marriage. He fought against Abu Sufyan face to face. He was about to kill him. Abu Sufyan asked the Quraish's help, who attacked Hanzalah and killed him. The Prophet :saws: said that he found Hanzalah washed by the angels between the earth and the heavens, in a silver bowl with water of
muzn. Upon hearing this, the companions hurried to look at Hanzalah. They found his body flowing with water instead of blood. They asked his wife: "What was he doing when he left to fight?" She replied, "He went out to the battle when he was ritually impure."

Asmaa' bint Abi Bakr Radhiallahu Anhuma
When the Prophet SAW and Abu Bakr RA left Makkah, the Kuffar immediately demanded their return and set a reward for whoever captured them. The Prophet SAW and his companion were sheltering in the cave of Thawr.
Asmaa' RA used to take their food to them. To do this, she split her waistband into 2, with 1 piece, she tied her clothes. the other piece was used to carry the food for her father and the Prophet SAW, thus earning her this laqb.

Tsss ... I hope that as a non-Muslim I will be forgiven for not knowing that! :D
So then, which way
would you be facing, if you stood on the exact opposite side of the earth to the Ka'baa?
North, south, east or west?
I found this little snippet elsewhere:
The antipode of Mecca lies in the South Pacific Ocean. At that spot, it's theoretically permissible to face any direction for prayer ...

Correct masha' Allaah!
lol glo, ur forgiven. :D Btw how can 2 people hv their backs to each other and both be facing the Kab'ah at the same time, unless they are inside the Kaba. I'm picturing it like this..
Person 1 facing this way ---> (Kaba Here) <--- person two facing this way
North.........................................<>.. .................................South
As far as I see it, its impossible for both of them to face the Kaba if they have their back to each other.
Anyway... next ! someone give a harder one. :p
Reply
Standing on the antipode (the exact opposite of the world) of Mecca, I'm picturing it like this:
Ka'bah............................................ ......<P1 P2>............................................... .Ka'bah
Whichever direction you turn, you are 'facing' the ka'bah, since it is the same distance away in any direction.
Anyway, one of the brothers is on the case and will try to find out for me.
