WAIT! hehe 121!!

b.c. 9 (for page 1-9) = 9 pages
PLUS 90 pages (to total 99) x2 (180)
so thats 180+ 9 digits, i.e. 189 digits (we have 100 pages so far here)

then 228 - 189 = 39

39 divided by 3 (for the 3 digit numbers (100 onwards) = 13

so 9 pages + 99 pages +13 pages = 121 pages!!!

is THAT ([MOUSE]^^[/MOUSE]) suppose to be the brain teaser?! :-\ i dont understand a single thing u did!

lets see.. if he has 228 digits of pages.. then his # of pages is in the 100 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000th number :confused:

Sister Muslimahh got it right masha Allah.. digits means the unit example 100 means 3 digit, so pages 100-105 means 3 x 6=18 digits
100, 101, 102,103,104,105

I will start off with an easy question; inshallah.
2x + 3y = 19 and 6x - 3y = 21. Find x and y.

if this is too easy then here is one I have for ya..

Laila has 17 members in her family. Samira has 10 members. Laila’s 4 of the “members” are same as Samira’s. How many members would be in the annual reunion of both of these families?

2x + 3y = 19....(a)
6x - 3y = 21....(b)
(a)+(b) => 8x = 40
x= 5
then y =3

I will give it a try
Let's say a=b
then multiply both side with a
a*a=a*b
a²=ab

then subtract with b²
a²-b²=ab-b²

factor both side
(a+b)(a-b)=b(a-b)

cancel both same
a+b=b

since a=b then
b+b=b

so 1b' +1b"=1b''' ...the ' denote the position of the b
so 1b"=1b'''-1b'
1b=0b
1=0 proved#
so

I don't do copy paste , but I know this problem..but Zak is real mathematician
I can't get a=b=1 which I think much quicker and shorter way...Anyway maths always my favourite subject but I am not mathematician...

this not math I think..
Abdullah and his 7 friends (8 persons all together) went to the restaurant. He ordered the pizza. The owner of restaurant said if u can cut this pizza only by 3 cut for eight persons I will give another free pizza. Abdullah then cut the pizza and they receive another free pizza. How would he do it??
(eg: if u cut the pizza like the cross means u have made 2 cut-one horizontal one vertical)

Yess definitely

Since nobody answered so I give the answer...Imagine a pizza..it is round right..then u make another round inside the pizza not to close to the edges(1 cut) and make a cross(means 2 cut).so u have 8 pieces...
