    Jesus, the Islamic prophet

    Report bad ads?

    If Jesus was an Islamic prophet, then what did He prophesy?

    I know what Jeremiah prophesied, and how it ALL came to pass (The exile in Babylon, etc).

    But, in the Islamic framework of things - the prophecies of Jesus - I haven't got a clue!

    Fill me in, please.

    Re: Jesus, the Islamic prophet

    Hi

    All Prophets pbut taught people to worship one God without partner . Jesus pbuh also taught so . I don't think all Prophets pbut made prophesy.

    Prophet Isa/ Jesus told people that another Prophet will come . His name will be Ahmed , it's another name of Prophet Muhammed pbuh.

    And God Almighty knows Best.

    And (remember) when Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), said: "O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allah unto you confirming the Taurat ((Torah) which came) before me, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmed . But when he (Ahmed i.e. Muhammad SAW) came to them with clear proofs, they said: "This is plain magic."

    ( سورة الصف , As-Saff, Chapter #61, Verse #6)

    Re: Jesus, the Islamic prophet

    Quran Commentary :

    The Good News of `Isa about Our Prophet and that His Name is Ahmad printButton 1 - Jesus, the Islamic prophet emailButton 1 - Jesus, the Islamic prophet

    Allah said;

    ﴿وَإِذْ قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ يبَنِى إِسْرَءِيلَ إِنِّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُم مُّصَدِّقاً لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَىَّ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَمُبَشِّراً بِرَسُولٍ يَأْتِى مِن بَعْدِى اسْمُهُ أَحْمَدُ﴾

    (And when `Isa, son of Maryam, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allah unto you, confirming the Tawrah before me, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad.'')

    `Isa said, "The Tawrah conveyed the glad tidings of my coming, and my coming confirms the truth of the Tawrah. I convey the glad tidings of the Prophet who will come after me. He is the unlettered, Makkan, Arab Prophet and Messenger, Ahmad.'' `Isa, peace be upon him, is the last and final Messenger from among the Children of Israel. He remained among the Children of Israel for a while, conveying the good news of the coming of Muhammad, whose name is also Ahmad, the Last and Final Prophet and Messenger. After Muhammad, there will be no prophethood or Messengers.

    How admirable the Hadith is that Al-Bukhari collected in his Sahih from Jubayr bin Mut`im, who said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah say,

    «إِنَّ لِي أَسْمَاءً: أَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، وَأَنَا أَحْمَدُ، وَأَنَا الْمَاحِي الَّذِي يَمْحُو اللهُ بِهِ الْكُفْرَ،وَأَنَا الْحَاشِرُ الَّذِي يُحْشَرُ النَّاسُ عَلَى قَدَمَيَّ، وَأَنَا الْعَاقِب»

    (I have names. I am Muhammad and Ahmad. I am Al-Mahi through whom Allah will eliminate disbelief. I am Al-Hashir who will be the first to be resurrected, with the people being resurrected Hereafter. I am also Al-`Aqib (i.e., there will be no Prophet after me).'') Also Muslim collected this Hadith from Az-Zuhri from Jubayr. Muhammad bin Ishaq recorded that Khalid bin Ma`dan said that some Companions of Allah's Messenger said, "O Allah's Messenger! Tell us about yourself.''

    He said,
    «دَعْوَةُ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَبُشْرَى عِيسَى، وَرَأَتْ أُمِّي حِينَ حَمَلَتْ بِي كَأَنَّهُ خَرَجَ مِنْها نُورٌ أَضَاءَتْ لَهُ قُصُورُ بُصْرَى مِنْ أَرْضِ الشَّام»

    (I am the (result of the) invocation made to Allah from my father Ibrahim and the good news `Isa delivered. When my mother was pregnant with me, she had a dream in which she saw a light emanating from her that radiated the palaces of Busra in Ash-Sham.'' This Hadith has a good chain of narration that is supported by other similar narrations. Imam Ahmad recorded that Al-`Irbad bin Sariyah said, "The Messenger of Allah said,
    «إِنِّي عِنْدَ اللهِ لَخَاتَمُ النَّبِيِّينَ، وَإِنَّ آدَمَ لَمُنْجَدِلٌ فِي طِينَتِهِ، وَسَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِأَوَّلِ ذَلِكَ: دَعْوَةُ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَبِشَارَةُ عِيسَى بِي، وَرُؤْيَا أُمِّي الَّتِي رَأَتْ، وَكَذَلِكَ أُمَّهَاتُ النَّبِيِّينَ يَرَيْن»

    (I was written with Allah as the Last and Final of the Prophet, even when Adam was still clay. I will tell of the first good news announcing my advent, the (result of the) invocation to Allah made from my father Ibrahim, the good news `Isa conveyed, and the dream that my mother saw. The mothers of all Prophets see similar dreams.'') Imam Ahmad recorded that Abu Umamah said, "I said, `O Allah's Messenger! What was the first good news of your coming' He said,
    «دَعْوَةُ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَبُشْرَى عِيسَى، وَرَأَتْ أُمِّي أَنَّهُ يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا نُورٌ أَضَاءَتْ لَهُ قُصُورُ الشَّام»

    (The (result of the) invocation to Allah made from my father Ibrahim and the good news `Isa conveyed. My mother saw a light emanating from her that filled the palaces of Ash- Sham in a dream.)'' Imam Ahmad recorded that `Abdullah bin Mas`ud said that the Messenger of Allah sent eighty men, including `Abdullah bin Mas`ud, Ja`far bin Abi Talib, `Abdullah bin `Urfutah, `Uthman bin Maz`un, Abu Musa, and others, to An-Najashi.

    The Quraysh sent `Amr bin Al-`As and `Umarah bin Al-Walid with a gift for An-Najashi. When they, `Amr and `Umarah, came to An-Najashi, they prostrated before him and stood to his right and left. `Amr and `Umarah said, "Some of our cousins migrated to your land; they have abandoned us and our religion.'' An-Najashi said, "Where are they'' They said, "They are in your land, so send for them,'' so An-Najashi summoned the Muslims. Ja`far said to the Muslims, "I will be your speaker today.'' So, the Muslims followed Ja`far and when he entered on the king he did not prostrate after greeting him.

    They said to Ja`far, "Why do you not prostrate before the king'' Ja`far said, "We only prostrate for Allah, the Exalted and Most Honored.'' They said, "Why'' He said, "Allah has sent a Messenger to us from Him, who ordered us not to prostrate to anyone except Allah, the Exalted and Most Honored. He also ordered to perform prayer and give charity.'' `Amr bin Al-`As said, "They contradict your creed about `Isa, son of Maryam.''

    The king asked, "What do you say about `Isa and his mother Maryam'' Ja`far said, "We only say what Allah said about him, that he is Allah's Word, a soul created by Allah and sent down to the honorable virgin who was not touched by a man nor bearing children before.'' An-Najashi lifted a straw of wood and said, "O Ethiopians, monks and priests!

    By Allah, what they say about `Isa is no more than what we say about him, not even a difference that equals this straw. You are welcomed among us, and greetings to him who sent you.

    I bear witness that he is Allah's Messenger whom we read about in the Injil. He is the Prophet who `Isa, son of Maryam, foretold the good news about his advent. Live wherever you wish.

    By Allah, had I not been entrusted with the responsibilities of kingship, I would have gone to him, so that I could be honored by carrying his slippers and his water for ablution.'' The king ordered that the gifts of the idolators be returned to them. `Abdullah bin Mas`ud soon returned and later on participated in the battle of Badr. He said that when the Prophet received the news that An-Najashi died, he invoked Allah to forgive him.

    Allah said,
    ﴿فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُم بِالْبَيِّنَـتِ قَالُواْ هَـذَا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ﴾
    (But when he came to them with clear proofs, they said: "This is plain magic.'') this refers to Ahmad, who was anticipated, in accordance with the early Scriptures and early generations, according to Ibn Jurayj and Ibn Jarir.

    When the Prophet appeared bringing clear signs, the disbelievers and rejecters said,
    ﴿هَـذَا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ﴾
    (This is plain magic)

    Re: Jesus, the Islamic prophet

    And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way.
    (Quran, Az-Zukhuruf, 43:61)

    And there is none Of the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (i.e. Jesus as an Apostle of Allah and a human being) before his death. And on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness against them.
    (The Holy Quran, An-Nisa, 4:159)

    By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, Son of Mary (Jesus) will shortly descend amongst you people (Muslims) as a just ruler and will break the Cross and kill the pig and abolish the Jizyah (a tax taken from the non-Muslims, who are in the protection, of the Muslim government). Then there will be abundance of money and no one will accept charitable gifts.
    (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 3, Book 34, No. 425)

    The Hour will not be established until the Son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you as a just ruler, he will break the cross, kill the pigs, and abolish the Jizyah tax. Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it (as charitable gifts).
    (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 3, Book 43, No. 656)

    I swear by Him in Whose hands is my life that soon there will descend among you Hazrat Isa Ibn-e-Mariam as a Just Ruler; so (he) will break the 'cross', kill swine and prohibit war!
    (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, No. 668, Book of Prophets, P. 490)

    By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, surely (Jesus,) the Son of Mary will soon descend amongst you and will judge mankind justly (as a Just Ruler); he will break the Cross and kill the pigs and there will be no Jizyah (i.e. taxation taken from non Muslims). Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it, and a single prostration to Allah (in prayer) will be better than the whole world and whatever is in it." Abu Huraira added "If you wish, you can recite (this verse of the Holy Book): -- "And there is none Of the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (i.e Jesus as an Apostle of Allah and a human being) before his death. And on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness against them." (Quran 4:159)
    (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 4, Book 55, No. 657; Fateh-ul Bari, Vol. 7, P. 302)

    How will you be when the Son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you and he will judge people by the law of the Quran and not by the law of Gospel.
    (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 4, Book 55, No. 658; Fateh-ul Bari, Vol. 7, P. 304-305)

    There is no prophet between me and him, that is, Jesus (peace be upon him). He will descent (to the earth). When you see him, recognize him: a man of medium height, reddish fair, wearing two light yellow garments, looking as if drops were falling down from his head though it will not be wet. He will fight the people for the cause of Islam. He will break the cross, kill swine, and abolish jizyah. Allah will perish all religions except Islam. He will destroy the Antichrist and will live on the earth for forty years and then he will die. The Muslims will pray over him.
    (Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 37, No. 4310)

    A section of my people will not cease fighting for the Truth and will prevail till the Day of Resurrection. He said: Jesus Son of Mary will then descend and their (Muslims') commander (Al Mahdi) will invite him to come and lead them in prayer, but he would say: No, some amongst you are commanders over some (amongst you). This is the honor from Allah for this Ummah.
    (Sahih Muslim, Book 1, No. 0293)

    Allah will send Maseeh ibne Maryam (Messiah son of Mary). Thus he will descend near the White Eastern Minaret of Damascus, clad in two yellow sheets, leaning on the shoulders of two angels.
    (Sahih Muslim, Vol. 8, P. 192-193)

    I saw myself (in a dream) near the Ka'ba last night, and I saw a man with whitish red complexion, the best you may see amongst men of that complexion having long hair reaching his earlobes which was the best hair of its sort, and he had combed his hair and water was dropping from it, and he was performing the Tawaf around the Ka'ba while he was leaning on two men or on the shoulders of two men. I asked, 'Who is this man?' Somebody replied, '(He is) Messiah, Son of Mary.' Then I saw another man with very curly hair, blind in the right eye which looked like a protruding out grape. I asked, 'Who is this?' Somebody replied, '(He is) Messiah, Ad-Dajjal.'
    (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 9, Book 87, No. 128)

    Allah is not one eyed while Messiah, Ad-Dajjal is blind in the right eye and his eye looks like a bulging out grape. While sleeping near the Ka'ba last night, I saw in my dream a man of brown color the best one can see amongst brown color and his hair was long that it fell between his shoulders. His hair was lank and water was dribbling from his head and he was placing his hands on the shoulders of two men while circumambulating the Kabah. I asked, 'Who is this?' They replied, 'This is Jesus, son of Mary.' Behind him I saw a man who had very curly hair and was blind in the right eye, resembling Ibn Qatan (i.e. an infidel) in appearance. He was placing his hands on the shoulders of a person while performing Tawaf around the Ka'ba. I asked, 'Who is this? 'They replied, 'The Masih, Ad-Dajjal.'
    (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 4, Book 55, No. 649)

    By Him in Whose Hand is my life, Ibn Maryam (Jesus Christ) would certainly pronounce Talbiyah for Hajj or for Umrah or for both (simultaneously as a Qarin) in the valley of Rawha.
    (Sahih Muslim, Book 7, No. 2877)

    Hazrat Masih Isa (Jesus)(SAW) will die after completing the duration he was destined to pass in the world and that Muslims would offer his funeral prayers and bury him next to the grave of the holy Prophet, Hazrat Abu Bakr and Hazrat Umar(RAs).
    (Mishkat, P. 480)

    ...Satan will cry: The Dajjal has taken your place among your families. They will then come out, but it will be of no avail. When they reach Syria, he will come out while they are still preparing themselves for battle, drawing up the ranks.
    Certainly, the time of prayer will come and then Jesus (peace be upon him), Son of Mary, will descend and lead them in prayer. When the enemy of Allah see him, it will (disappear) just as salt dissolves in water and if he (Jesus) were not to confront them at all, even then it would dissolve completely. Allah would kill them by his hand and he would show them their blood on his lance (the lance of Jesus Christ).
    (Sahih Muslim, Book 40, No. 6924)

    ...He will then call (that young man) and he will come forward laughing with his face gleaming (with happiness). It will at this very time that Allah will send Christ, son of Mary. He will descend at the white minaret on the eastern side of Damascus, wearing two garments lightly dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two Angels. When he lowers his head, there will fall beads of perspiration from his head, and when he raises it up, beads like pearls will scatter from it. Every non-believer who smells the odor of his body will die and his breath will reach as far as he is able to see. He will then search for him (Dajjal) until he catches hold of him at the gate of Ludd (Jerusalem) and kills him.
    Then a people whom Allah had protected will come to Jesus, son of Mary, and he will wipe their faces and inform them of their ranks in Paradise. It will be under such conditions that Allah will reveal to Jesus these words: I have brought forth from among My servants such people against whom none will be able to fight; you take these people safely to Tur, and then Allah will send Gog and Magog and they will swarm down from every slope. The first of them will pass the lake of Tiberias and drink out of it. And when the last of them passes, he will say: There was once water there...
    (Sahih Muslim, Book 40, No. 7015)
    The son of Mary will kill the Anti-Christ (Dajjal) at the door of Ludda.
    (Tirmidhi and Ahmad)

    How can perish the Ummah (nation) of which I (Muhammad pbuh) am at the beginning and Jesus (pbuh), son of Mary, is at the end.
    (Hakim and Nasai)

    Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion) He said:
    "What are you talking about?" (the Companions) said: "We are discussing about the Last Hour". Thereupon, he said:
    It will not come until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), The Gog and Magog, and landslides in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly.
    (Sahih Muslim, Book 40, No. 6931)

    After his descent on earth, Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) will marry. He will have children, and he will remain on earth 19 years after marriage. He will pass away and Muslims will perform his Janaza Salaat (funeral prayers) and bury him next to Rasulullah (SAW). (Tirmidhi)

    1. The Promised Messiah is none other than hazrat Isa bin Maryam(pbuh) (Jesus);
    2. He is a man of medium height and moderate complexion inclined to the red and white colors and of lank hair;
    3. He will descend among Muslims, near the White Eastern Minaret of Damascus, Syria, clad in two yellow sheets (dyed with saffron), while leaning on the shoulders of two angels;
    4. He will pray behind Imam Mahdi;
    5. He will fight with, chase, and kills Dajjal (the Anti-Christ) at the gate of Ludd;
    6. Messiah will rule justly according to the Laws of Islam and not Gospel;
    7. People of the Book will accept him as a Messenger of Allah(SWT) and will embrace Islam (Quran 4:159); subsequently, Cross (Christianity) and Jizyah tax (on non-Muslims) will be abolished;
    8. He will encounter attack of Gog and Magog and will be victorious;
    9. Islam and justice will rule, oppression will be eliminated, and no fighting (War) will be needed (will be abolished);
    10. Everyone will be well off and hatred, jealousy, and grudge will disappear;
    11. Messiah will perform Hajj and/or Umra;
    12. He will get married, remain married for 19 years before his death and have children;
    13. He will die after living on earth for 40 years and will be buried in a grave next to the holy Prophet(SAW). His advent is a sign for the closeness of the day of Judgment (Quran, 43:61);
    14. Afterwards, all believers will die before the advent of the day of Judgment and the other prophecies will take place.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: Jesus, the Islamic prophet

    This one comes to mind. I think it is self explanatory.

    5:116 Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah'?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart . . ."

    Jesus (as) was sent to the Israelites, thus Thomas asked him "and how can we know the way?", meaning, the Israelites, they didn't consider gentiles. Jesus (as) told him, "no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.", he referred to no man among the Israelites can arrive at knowing God except through him. He was the way and the salvation for his people.

    As Muslims, we reject the idea that Jesus (as) was sent to anyone but the Israelites. This is the Islamic view of his prophethood. His prophethood is limited to the Israelites, and it extends to no one else. This is what the Holy Qur'an says about him, and it mentions nothing about his prophethood extending to any Gentiles.

    61:6 And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad." But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, "this is evident sorcery!"
    (Yusuf Ali translation)

    Assuming we Muslims would accept the above statements as what Jesus (as) said, his being the way means he shows the straight path unto Allah by revelation from Him. Thus, only he can show the straight path when the Israelites were in error concerning their religion. He is the truth because what he says is the truth, which are the Words of Allah. The Words of Allah are only the truth, since Allah is Al-Haqq (The Truthful). Anyone who rejected him rejected Allah and became deserving of his wrath because they would not have been calling Jesus (as) a liar, but they would be called Allah a liar. This is why the rejection of the Messengers is a great sin and deserves punishment from Allah after it reaches a certain peak. It is like declaring war against Allah Himself directly.

    Jesus (as) was the life, because he gave spiritual life to the spiritually dead. The Holy Prophet (saw)'s teachings had the same effect:

    8:24 O ye who believe! give your response to Allah and His Messenger, when He calleth you to that which will give you life; and know that Allah cometh in between a man and his heart, and that it is He to Whom ye shall (all) be gathered.
    (Yusuf Ali translation)

    Reciting Surah Fatiha during Salat is one of the ways in which the Holy Prophet (saw) had the effect of giving life to the dead. That is the context in which this verse is also understood. Doing the deeds which the Prophet tells you is doing that which will give you life.

    Jesus (as) was the one who Allah had sent to be followed, thus his people should get to know him and his example. That would make them know what Allah had told them all to do as well. Also, if they follow him then they would gain the necessary knowledge to know Allah better, and understand His ways, rather than grovel in error and misguidance about Him. And no one sees Allah in this life, but a Prophet of Allah is so blessed that whoever gets to be in their company, becomes knowledgeable of Allah and so certain of His existence, that it is as if they have seen Him, though they haven't. This is also only allowed by Allah's Decree, not everyone is saved. As we saw, the Jews rejected him and eventually lost their prestige in the world.

    Thus, I hope you see how we Muslims would accept those words of Jesus (as), if those were what he said. The Islamic teachings about the Prophets of Allah is that they believed in Allah so strongly that they dare not go against Him for fear of what He would do had they disobeyed. Here is a Hadith about Jesus (as) which will put this into perspective:

    Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Jesus, seeing a man stealing, asked him, 'Did you steal?, He said, 'No, by Allah, except Whom there is None who has the right to be worshipped' Jesus said, 'I believe in Allah and suspect my eyes." (Book #55, Hadith #653)
    (Sahih Bukhari)

    The Prophets of Allah feared that they would be punished if their body parts testified against them. Jesus (as) suspected his eyes because he knew he must always accept a man's oath by Allah's Word (La ilaha illallah). Otherwise, he would be held accountable for believing in his eyes and not in Allah's True Word.

    Allah said in His Book:

    41:21 And they will say to their skins, "Why do you testify against us?" They will say: "Allah has caused us to speak as He causes all things to speak: and He created you the first time, and to Him you are made to return."
    41:22 And you have not been hiding yourselves (in the world), lest your ears, and your eyes, and your skins should testify against you; but you thought that Allah knew not much of what you were doing.
    41:23 And that thought of yours which you thought about your Lord, has brought you to destruction; and you have become (this Day) of those utterly lost!

    There are many more things to say regarding all of this. But time is short and I don't want to get tangential.

    Jesus (as) prophesied many things. He is considered a Nabi and a Rasul in the Holy Qur'an:

    3:49 And will make him [('Îsa (Jesus)] a Messenger to the Children of Israel (saying): "I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, that I design for you out of clay, a figure like that of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah's Leave; and I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I bring the dead to life by Allah's Leave. And I inform you of what you eat, and what you store in your houses. Surely, therein is a sign for you, if you believe.
    (Mohsin Khan translation)

    4:163 Verily, We have sent the revelation to you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) as We sent the revelation to Nuh (Noah) and the Prophets after him; We (also) sent the revelation to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat [the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], 'Îsa (Jesus), Ayyub (Job), Yunus (Jonah), Harun (Aaron), and Sulaiman (Solomon); and to Dawud (David) We gave the Zabur (Psalms).

    Thus, he was a nabi and a rasul. A Nabi is one who receives news from Allah, hearing about future events. These may not have been narrated in the Holy Qur'an, but he is among the Prophets of Allah, among all of those who foretold the Last Day, the Hereafter, future events relating to his own people and all since Noah (as) who have prophesied the coming of the Dajjal (as mentioned in Ahadith). A Rasul is also one who receives revelations from Allah:

    72:25 Say: "I know not whether the (Punishment) which ye are promised is near, or whether my Lord will appoint for it a distant term.
    72:26 "He (alone) knows the Unseen, nor does He make any one acquainted with His Mysteries,-
    72:27 "Except a messenger whom He has chosen: and then He makes a band of watchers march before him and behind him,
    72:28 "That He may know that they have (truly) brought and delivered the Messages of their Lord: and He surrounds (all the mysteries) that are with them, and takes account of every single thing."

    Jesus' (as) prophesies may not have been mentioned in great detail in the Holy Qur'an, but they are referred to through hints throughout the Holy Qur'an. Whatever he may have said, the Holy Prophet (saw) elaborated upon it and was given a revelation which was of a higher calibre, and thus included what Jesus (as) and all of the other Prophets have mentioned from Allah. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) was the seal of the Prophets, and thus he was given the most concise, but at the same time, the most comprehensive revelations about all the matters from now until the Day of Judgment.
