    Re: laws

Shariah law is strict but fair. Yes, some of the punishments can seem severe, but they are there to deter and to ensure a safe and fair society. They are are not intended to be applied every five minutes. The example you quote sounds like vigilantism, which has no place in Islam.

    Re: laws

What some don't get is that the law is meant to be implemented in a proper exemplary muslim society and ought to be done with wisdom/hikmah. And it is not as easy to be convicted of a crime as some might think.

Nigelmanc, but I don't know why people want to do adultery??? Allah doesn't forbids sex, Allah in ch 23 v 6 of Quran says sex between husband and wife only is acceptable to Allah.then I don't understand why one want to be homosexual??Allah forbids homosexuality because Allah cares for us, we know that homosexuality is root to kaposi sarcoma, AIDS, various sexual transmitted diseases.

    Re: laws

Stoning to death is the punishment for married adulterer only after his crime is proven by 4 trustable eye- witnesses. Also it is true that the Islamic punishment- laws can be applied by an Islamic government after the society is made fully Islamic. These laws cannot be applied in a country where there is free mixing of the two genders and females walk around without any hijab ( the proper Islamic cover). If a father stones his daughter to death, then he is a killer of his daughter because a father or any person at his own has no permission to kill any one by any method. Such a killer is criminal punishable in the Islamic Law.

Homosexuality is an act worse than animal's act. Allah Almighty gave to mankind every organ and system for a very useful and good purpose. Consider the cardio- vascular system, the respiratory system and the gastro-intestinal system. Every one of them has a very important function which is a must for life. These systems are not used for any other purpose. Similarly, the reproductive system is given to mankind for the purpose of reproduction to keep the human race. Then Allah Almighty made the poise law of marriage to use this system and give everyone his/her rights, wife her rights, husband his rights and the fetus and children their rights.

A homosexual destroys the reproductive abilities of 4 people, 1. his, 2. his homo partner, 3 & 4 the two females that could have married to the first two men. Is this justice? Just think, animals don't practice homosexuality. They use the system for the correct purpose. So it is the disobedient mankind who has gone upside down and has become worse than animal!!!

Again an adulterer causes a girl/ woman to become pregnant and then runs away discarding the poor female in helpless situation. She suffers and doesn't understand what to do? Should she attempt abortion and kill the innocent baby or should she try to carry on with it. In the second case she needs help, money, support etc. Where should she go to get all that necessities which would be provided to her by her husband during her pregnancy. It is this one-sided cruelty of man from which the Islamic laws protect all females as well as these laws protect the life and rights of the innocent babies before and after birth.

In today's world anti Islamic man is practicing that one sided cruelty. He wants the girls be freely available to him, he should enjoy them without taking any responsibilities and discard them in their helpless state of pregnancy. Is this justice???

God, being the Lord, ordains laws to control the unjust man from playing one-sided cruelty.
