    Re: Promise to Allah?

From my knowledge, yes, because you are making a promise to Allah.

    From Huzaifah ibn Adam:
If a person breaks an oath, there are only those three ways to make Kaffaarah (expiation) for it.

    1) Fast three days consecutively.

    2) Feed ten poor people.

    3) Clothe ten poor people.

    Allahu alam.
    Promise to Allah?

He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Perfection, the Bestower of Faith, the Overseer, the Exalted in Might, the Compeller, the Superior. Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him [59:23]

    Re: Promise to Allah?

I don't know what to say...

First, the solat is already mandatory, no? It is not voluntary basis. As is the fasting. Whether you promise Allah or not, you are still accountable for it. The fact that you promised it further, and Allah is All Forgiving and All Wise.

    Promise to Allah?

As long as my heart does beat, I shall live, not lie
For when my heart does stop its beat, with truth, I die.
