    Unity in Islam

    Report bad ads?

Why are Muslims way more united and have more emotions in their mind and have more actions when they are being oppressed than any other religious group on the planet, even if the religious group were larger then Muslims?

    Re: Unity in Islam

If what you say is true, well maybe because these oppressed Muslims have true faith in Allah.

I’m an agnostic/freethinker and I’ve noticed that for years now. Even when not being oppressed and when something bad happens to a Muslim or something bad is said to one, the Muslims are more united about this and speaking about it than the religious Christians or Jews if the same exact thing happens to them, even if they speak, it’s larger in numbers when the Muslims do it plus the care they have. Is it because Islam explicitly states one Muslim harmed effects the body of another Muslim but there is no explicit text like this for all these other religions, including Christianity and Islam?

    Re: Unity in Islam

    Greetings,
If you mean why Muslims have unity and care for each other, I am giving some evidences from Qur'an and sahih Hadith.

    From Noble Qur'an:

The believers are but brothers, so make reconciliation between your brothers and fear Allah that you may receive mercy.
    (Surat al-Hujurat 49:10)

Hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. Remember the favor of Allah upon you, when you were enemies and he brought your hearts together and you became brothers by his favor.(Surat Ali Imran 3:103)

The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and establish prayer and give charity and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have mercy upon them, for Allah is Almighty and Wise.(Surat al-Tawba 9:71)

They say: Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts any resentment toward those who have faith. Our Lord, you are kind and merciful.(Surat al-Hashr 59:10)

    FROM SAHIH HADITHS:

Do not hate each other, do not envy each other, do not turn away from each other, but rather be servants of Allah as brothers. It is not lawful for a Muslim to boycott his brother for more than three days.(Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5718)

The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.(Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5665)

The Muslims are like a single man. If the eye is afflicted, then the whole body is afflicted. If the head is afflicted, then the whole body is afflicted.(Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2586)

Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever helps ease one in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and in the Hereafter. Whoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults in this world and in the Hereafter. Allah helps the servant as long as he helps his brother.(Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2699)

Support your brother, whether he is an oppressor or is being oppressed.
It was said, “O Messenger of Allah, we help the one being oppressed but how do we help an oppressor?” The Prophet said:
By restraining him or preventing him from committing injustice, for that is how you support him.
    (Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6552)

The servant does not reach the reality of faith until he loves for people what he loves for himself of goodness.(Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Ibn Ḥibbān 238)

Whoever would love to be delivered from the Hellfire and entered into Paradise, then let him die with faith in Allah and the Last Day, and let him treat people the way he would love to be treated.(Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1844)

Thank you for that. There is similar text lIke this in other books but about one person feels for the other when a Muslim is hurt on the body is the part that unites the Muslims. There is no such text about if a Jew or a Christian gets hurt, the member feels pain for the other. Even the most religious amongst them won’t feel such pain, it’s weak in my opinion and that’s why these other religions in my opinion are weak when it comes to the suffering of its members.

It is our Creator who has control over us, He can change the condition of hearts and put love in our hearts for fellow Muslims as Allah mentioned in Quran:

Interpretation of the meaning: And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.
There are several examples of this above statement which we see in our daily lives especially when one reverts to Islam we can see practical example of brotherly love between Muslims. And this indeed proves Islam is the only true religion ( as end of the verse says - "Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses.").
May Allah open your heart and make it easy for you to see and accept the truth (Islam). Ameen!

Is that why when religious people of other faiths are oppressed, they don’t feel as hurt as Muslims when saying it, even those Christian websites that say the oppression of Christians because Islam is far more explicit in text about such issues? Is it because all these religions have too many sects in them, much more than these “sects” in Islam? A Muslim talking about how another Muslim was wronged when you see in the media, the feeling they have from what I see is so much stronger than websites about Christians genuinely expressing another Christian getting killed or oppressed. Even speaking to a Christian in person, the feelings they have are much weaker than the Muslim.
