    What is in Jannah?

Can anyone explain what is halal and what is not in Jannah? Do we really get whatever we want from Allah as a reward?

    Re: What is in Jannah?

Jannah is a place that offers eternal bliss for those who enter it. I don’t believe anyone will truly be able to explain or understand the unseen, even with the descriptions we have. The scholars and speakers who do talk about the subject only have limited knowledge of it. Still, when it comes to the afterlife, we always try to use our understanding of this life to understand the next life which just does not work as they are two different realities.

Often times people will ask if they can wish for whatever they want, become whatever they want, or ask if some of the things that are haram in the dunya will become halal in the hereafter. We know that the things we are familiar with here, like foods and drinks, will not be the same.

There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring, White and delicious to the drinkers; No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated. (Surah 37:45-47)
So even with the description of wine, which is forbidden for us here and is made halal in Jannah, is different than what we understand it to be. That’s not to say all haram things will become available and pleasurable in Jannah, but based on what we do know, there will be nothing that is harmful for us.

They said we would get whatever we wished when we get to Jannah. That our desires would be fulfilled when we made it there. It is hard to believe. What do you want out of Jannah? I know Allah can do the impossible for those that believe and honor and love him. They say that there are levels but I don't believe in that. All I know is that fter death we gotta go somewhere. Our body will be going somewhere. The revelation of what will happen is that our bodies will be resurrected and returned to God (Allah). I believe in Jannah because I want to believe in the impossibility. I am Christian but I also study the Islamic teachings of Jannah. I just don't want to be stuck in this world the same way. I hope when I leave this Earth that the life thereafter is much more glorious in comparison or hopefully without comparison.

The Bible preach 1 Corinthians 2:9 "However, as it is written: "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" -- the things God has prepared for those who love him--"

The Qu'ran preaches (ALLAH said), There will be that which no eyes has seen no ears has heard no human heart can imagine. That is what is said. We can't even imagine what Allah (God) has prepared for his saints and servants. I hope I get there to tell of its wonders and to live a life that only God can imagine.

Right even drinking wine is not halal, as there will be rivers of wine which
you won't get intoxicated from. Imagine.

I meant is not haram. It is halal to drink what ever is in Jannah because it will be made pure.

    Welcome to the forum.

I listened to a lecture series many years ago describing the life after death
I've linked below the episode where jannah is spoken about. It's a youtube video about 50 minutes long but is well worth listening to. If you find it hard to sit still for the whole lecture listen in 10 minute bursts or put it on at the gym or when in the car

Jannah is a topic that can't be done justice to on a post on a forum it's much better than that but InshaAllah the lecture will give you a glimpse

Also have a look at this site www.islamreligion.com they have a bunch of good articles about Islam including jannah

    Re: What is in Jannah?

We often times hear about the description of the Houris. However, I noticed we never hear about the description of the righteous women in Jannah.
