Is it Beacause of Adam We are on Earth ?

    Report bad ads?

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullah wa Barakatuh
Adam disobeyed Allah (tree) so He expulsed him (punishement ?) from Paradise and send him on Earth.
    Then Allah Forgave Adam.
If Allah forgave Adam, so why he wasn't send to Paradise ?
If Forgiveness doesn't mean to come back to the previously state (before sin), So it is jsut because of his sin we are on Earth ?

Hope you understood me (my english is bad)

Re: Is it Beacause of Adam We are on Earth ?

The tafsir/explanation of the verse is here inshaa Allaah:

Adam repents and supplicates to Allah

It was reported that the above Ayah is explained by Allah's statement,

    (37. They said: "Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers.'') (7:23) as Mujahid, Sa`id bin Jubayr, Abu Al-`Aliyah, Ar-Rabi` bin Anas, Al-Hasan, Qatadah, Muhammad bin Ka`b Al-Qurazi, Khaلlid bin Ma`dan, `Ata' Al-Khurasani and `Abdur-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam have stated. As-Suddi said that Ibn `Abbas commented on,

(Then Adam received from his Lord Words) "Adam said, `O Lord! Did You not created me with Your Own Hands' He said, `Yes.' He said, `And blow life into me' He said, `Yes.' He said, `And when I sneezed, You said, `May Allah grant you His mercy.' Does not Your mercy precede Your anger' He was told, `Yes.' Adam said, `And You destined me to commit this evil act' He was told, `Yes.' He said, `If I repent, will You send me back to Paradise' Allah said, `Yes.''' Similar is reported from Al-`Awfi, Sa`id bin Jubayr, Sa`id bin Ma`bad, and Ibn `Abbas. Al-Hakim recorded this Hadith in his Mustadrak from Ibn Jubayr, who narrated it from Ibn `Abbas. Al-Hakim said, "Its chain is Sahih and they (Al-Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.''
    Allah's statement,

(Verily, He is the One Who forgives (accepts repentance), the Most Merciful) (2:37) means that Allah forgives whoever regrets his error and returns to Him in repentance. This meaning is similar to Allah's statements,

(Know they not that Allah accepts repentance from His servants) (9:104),

(And whoever does evil or wrongs himself) (4:110) and

(And whosoever repents and does righteous good deeds) (25:71).

The Ayat mentioned above, testify to the fact that Allah forgives the sins of whoever repents, demonstrating His kindness and mercy towards His creation and servants. There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.

    (38. We said: "Get down all of you from this place (the Paradise), then whenever there comes to you Hudan (guidance) from Me, and whoever follows My guidance, there shall be no fear on them, nor shall they grieve.) (39. But those who disbelieve and belie Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) ـ such are the dwellers of the Fire. They shall abide therein forever.'')

Allah stated that when He sent Adam, Hawwa', and Shaytan to earth from Paradise, He warned them that He will reveal Books and send Prophets and Messengers to them, i.e., to their offspring. Abu Al-`Aliyah said, "Al-Huda, refers to the Prophets, Messengers, the clear signs and plain explanation.''

(And whoever follows My guidance) meaning, whoever accepts what is contained in My Books and what I send the Messengers with,

(There shall be no fear on them) regarding the Hereafter,

(nor shall they grieve) regarding the life of this world. Similarly, in Surat Ta Ha, Allah said,

(He (Allah) said: "Get you down (from the Paradise to the earth), both of you, together, some of you are an enemy to some others. Then if there comes to you guidance from Me, then whoever follows My guidance, he shall neither go astray, nor shall he be distressed.) (20:123)

Ibn `Abbas commented, "He will not be misguided in this life or miserable in the Hereafter.'' The Ayah,

(But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur'an nor acts on its teachings) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection.) (20:124) is similar to what Allah stated here,

(But those who disbelieve and belie Our Ayat ـ such are the dwellers of the Fire. They shall abide therein forever), meaning, they will remain in Hell for eternity and will not find a way out of it.

Re: Is it Beacause of Adam We are on Earth ?

We know that if a person does a crime in this life, they should repent to Allaah - but if the person sins and gets the punishment applied on them, then Allaah will forgive them and they won't have a punishment in the next life.

We know that our sins have a consequence/bad effect on us, and the best thing to do when you sin is to repent to Allaah. And because of your sin, you might still get bad effects of it. But Allaah will forgive you in the next life if you really sincerely prayed to Allaah to forgive you.

This is what happened with Adam and his wife, our mother - Hawwaa, they both sinned and then repented to Allaah. But their sin lead to them having bad consequences/effects on them so they had to remain in this world for some time. But because they repented to Allaah and obeyed Him in this life after sinning - then they will be rewarded with a big/great reward in Allaah's Jannah/Paradise.

I think some scholars also say that the sin a parent may do might lead to negative/bad effects for his children and family, because those people are closely involved and related to that person.

There is a story that there was once a man who never used to treat his father kindly, he wouldn't obey him. One day he was walking with his father past a bridge, and he thought to himself that he would throw his father over the bridge. When he was about to push him - his father said "don't push me off this bridge, because this is where i threw my father off from."

So you see that because he never treated his father properly, his son also never treated him properly. The reason for that was because he used to see that his father never treated anyone with respect - then why should he? The only way this can change is if someone truelly follows the Qur'an and Sunnah, because then they do everything for Allaah's sake and don't try to harm others for their own benefit.

    And Allaah knows best.

Re: Is it Beacause of Adam We are on Earth ?

This can be found in Tafsir of Ibn Kathir....

Musa supplicated to Allah to meet Adam..."O my Lord! Show me Adam who caused us and himself to be thrown out of Paradise.'' When Musa met Adam, he said to him, "Are you Adam whom Allah created with His Own Hands, blew life into and commanded the angels to prostrate before''

    The debate continued:
"'You are Adam who led people astray and brought them out of the Garden.' Adam said to him, 'You are Musa to whom Allah gave knowledge of everything and whom he chose above people with His message.' He said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Are you blaming me for a matter which was decreed before I was created? "

The Prophet (saw) said Adam won the debate.

Re: Is it Beacause of Adam We are on Earth ?

Adam (as) looked a tree from paradise. Ate from it, approached it, and the tree was unbefitting of the position given to him and the sacred name which is "all the names" entrusted to him.

But he repented and showed how to get back to God for the rest of us, who not only aten from what is beneath us, but have attached ourselves to the cursed tree of hell and eaten so much crap out of it, we don't know anything of Allah (swt) which is why we unlike Adam (as) are not to be found weeping and crying and hating ourselves and regretting day and night. We repent once in a while only to decieve ourselves. Adam (as) was indeed chosen above us, just as Quran states. Peace and blessings be upon the holy Prophet Adam (as).

I was under the impression that we were mento come on earth anyway, meaning that God knew Aadam would sin, but only placed Aadam in heaven to let him learn this lesson for when he is on earth, i.e. that Shaytan is gonna try trick him.

This topic is very important and can be long I will try to shorten it. It may not be short so I apologize.

Adam (as) was moulded by Allah (swt) in heaven and Bani Adam (sons of Adam) are trying to be accepted to Paradise. Heaven and paradise are different places. Let me explain...

In Heaven there were Angels, Shaytan (Iblis who earned the rank to be amongst angels), and Adam in one place worshipping Allah (swt). In heaven a person has the ability to sin, like shaytan and Adam did. They both disobeyed Allah while in heaven. The difference is that Adam (as) repented and out of the arrogance/pride of shaytan (Iblis) he did not repent to Allah. He, Iblis, falsely attributed his misguidance to Allah. We must note that one of the main reasons of Allah creating us is that he could show this attribute of "Al-ghafoor, Rrraheem" (the Most forgiving, the most merciful) to all his creation. Allah wants to show this attributes to his creation so we could recognize it, and ask for forgiveness.

The evidence of that can be found in hadith of Prophet (saw) when Ayesha asked the Prophet (saw) about a man who was extremely pious, he helped the poor and the needy and had good character. Ayesha asked if he will be admitted to paradise the Prophet (saw) said No, because he never once said Allah forgive me.

Also, the mercy of Allah (swt) is the reason that Allah (swt) sends His believers to Paradise on the Day of Judgment. The prophet (saw) said: "None of you will enter Paradise with his deeds", They said: "Not even you, oh Messenger of Allah?!", He said: "Not even me unless Allah bestows His mercy upon me."

The other evidence that Allah wants to show his mercy to his creation can be found in this hadith.

Imam Muslim reported that the prophet (saw) said: "When Allah created the heavens and the earth, he created one hundred mercies, each one can cover what is between the earth and the heaven. He allocated to the earth only one, with which the mother is compassionate with her child; the beast and the bird are compassionate with their babies. When the Day of Judgment comes, Allah will complete His mercy." (Meaning Allah will use 100 parts of his mercy to judge us)

Allah (swt) also said about His mercy in surat Al-‘Araf, (verse 156), what can be translated as, "…And My mercy embraces all things…"

The Mother of all books "Al lawin mahfooth".. The last words Allah said in the book was "My mercy prevails my wrath."

To be kicked out of heaven and sent to earth was a test for bani Adam. Adam (as) first fell into trap of shaytan and he did not despair from ther mercy of Allah. He passed the test of asking for forgiveness after he made the mistake. That is as soon as he fell into Iblis's trap he immediately repented he quickly made dua...

They said, "Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves; so if You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, then surely, we are of the losers."

Read Surah Al Araf and you will understand more about what happened in heaven. http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/007.qmt.html

The Prophet (saw) said "All of bani Adam (son of Adam) are sinners and the best of sinners are those who are at-tauwabun (the repenters).

Repenting has conditions so go through that. Don't want to go off topic.

This world is a test to see who will be the friends of Allah and who will be the friends of shaytan. Another words who will obey Allah and his Messenger and who will obey arrogant/prideful like shaytan. the enemy of Allah and enemy of man.

Adam (as) was given the amanah, this trust that all the creation refused except the greedy Insan, who forgot the trust given to him. The trust is if you obey Allah and his messenger he will give you paradise and if you disobey Allah you will be thrown to hell-fire.

In this paradise you cannot sin and the test is passed. In Paradise only a select people who obeyed Allah and recognized the mercy and forgiveness of Allah will be admitted into the "Gardens underneath which rivers flow."

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “No one will enter Paradise who has an atom’s-weight of pride in his heart.” A man said, “What if a man likes his clothes to look good and his shoes to look good?” He said, “Allah is beautiful and loves beauty. Pride means denying the truth and looking down on people.”

That is what a Muslim does. He eliminates all types of arrogance and submits his will for the will and obedience of Allah (swt) his Creator/Sustainer.

"Turn unto Him repentant, and surrender unto Him" Surah al-Zumar: 54.

Akhi, the question at hand is whether we are here because of Adam's sin or not.

    This is why I said:

I was under the impression that we were mento come on earth anyway, meaning that God knew Aadam would sin, but only placed Aadam in heaven to let him learn this lesson for when he is on earth, i.e. that Shaytan is gonna try trick him.

Let's not forget that Allaah knows all things, so He knew it would happen anyway.. but we also should remember that Allaah has given us freedom of choice.

The reason why i'm mentioning this again is because some of the philosophers of this ummah deviated after using logic too much, and some started rejecting the concept of Qadar [destiny: good/bad] - so we should sometimes stay quiet and just say; Allaah knows best.

Re: Is it Beacause of Adam We are on Earth ?

Assalamu alaikum. Quite rightly the brother mentioned that we were ment to be on earth. This is true and the correct position and the correct explanation of the hadith of Adam debating with Musa. So the question is: What was decreed before Allah created Adam in relation with our place of being? The answer comes from Allah when He said in His book:

"Behold thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a khalifah (generation after generation) on earth." They said "Wilt thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood? Whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not." (2:30)

Therefore, Allah created us to be on this earth. He created Adam in Jannah but his place was not in Jannah. He was expelled from Jannah due to his sin from which he repented and his repentance was accepted and he can not be blamed for our being on earth as we were not created to live in Jannah but on earth.

Musa did not blame him for his sin but only for the calamities that fall upon us. He asked why he expelled Himself and us from Jannah and the answer is simple, he got himself expelled from Jannah but not us and in reality neither him nor us were created to live in Jannah but on earth. We can find our path to Jannah by following the teachings of our Prophet.

Didn't Allah (subhana wa ta3allah) say in surah il Baqarah

And remember when your Lord said to the angels: Verily I am going to place (mankind) generations and generations on earth." (2:30)
why would Allah (subhana wa ta3allah)make this statement if Adam (pbuh) was destined to live in the Garden?

And We said: "O Adam Dwell you and your wife in the Paradise and eat both of you freely with pleasure and delight, of things therein as wherever you will, but come not near this tree or you both will be of the Zalimun (wrongdoers). "(2:35)
    but then, Adam (pbuh) slipped

Then the Shaitan (satan) made them slip therefrom (the Paradise), and got them out from that in which they were. We said: "Get you down, all, with enmity between yourselves. On earth will be a dwelling place for you and an enjoyment for a time. (2:36)
but Allah (subhana wa ta3allah) taught Adam how to ask for forgiveness

Then Adam received from his Lord Words. And his Lord pardoned him (accepted his repentance. Verily, He is one who forgives (acpts repentance) the most mercifull (2:37)
and before Adam(pbuh) left, Allah (subhana wa ta3allah) gave Adam advice and a warning:

We said, "Get down all of you from this place (the Paradise), then whenever there comes to you Guidance from Me, and whoever follows My Guidance, there shall be no fear on them, nor shall they grieve. But those who disbelieve, and belie our Ayat (proofs, evidences, versses, lessons, signs, revleations, etc)- such are dwellers of the Fire. The shall abide therein forever (2:38-39)
There are big lessons to be taken from these Ayat, and they should give an explaination to the question above. Clearly, it was destined for Adam(pbuh) and his Children to live on earth for a set time. However, in this case, we have the first example of committing a sin, asking for repentance, and being forgiven.

Secondly, Jennah is a pure place, and only those that have been purified by Allah (subhana wa ta3allah) will live there. For example, despite Shatan's high status...he did not have a pure heart, so he was cast out of Jennah along with Adam(pbuh) .

But then Allah (subhana wa ta3allah) taugh Adam (pbuh) how we may enter Jennah ...by following his messengers and commandments. Humanity's time on earth is a test to see who among us is worthy of Jennah and who is not.

Another important lesson from this story is the difference between sins because of error and sins because of arrogance/vanity. While Adam slipped because of a weak mind, Shatan had an arrogant heart. Allah (subhana wa ta3allah) taught Adam(pbuh) how to ask for forgiveness and how to enter into Jennah, but He did not do so w/shatan. So we should all be carefull of an arrogant heart...and always ask Allah (subhana wa ta3allah) to purify it for us.

If anything, we are not living on earth because of Adam's (pbuh) sin, we were destined to live here. If anything, it is because of Adam (pbuh) that we know the importance of tawba (asking for forgiveness) and it is because of him that we know how to get back to Jennah.

    but Allah knows best.
