Assalam alaikum,
In numerous places in the Holy Qur'an (such as Ayat 100 of Surat Tauba and Ayat 110 of Surat Al-i-Imran), Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, shows His Pleasure for the Sahaba... the Companions of Prophet Muhammad, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam.

Their behaviour and actions were witnessed by him, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, and approved by him... meaning that their behaviour was also approved by Allah, Tabaraka Wa Ta'ala, as it is an acceptable principle that the Prophet, peace be upon him, is not allowed to approve of something which is essentially wrong. So, we must emulate them in our behaviour and actions, particularly minding:--

1) That any action we take is correct in accordance with the Shari'a.

2) Learning to forgive others who may have offended us in Ma'amalat.

3) To remember and think about death often, as this helps in detaching ourselves to worldly pleasures.

4) We should have high respect for all Muslims and desire good for them, noting that every Muslim is
inviolable to another Muslim- his blood, wealth and honour.

5) Performance of the late night prayer (Tahajjud), as the Master, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said:--

"Stick to the late-night prayer for it was the custom of the pious people before you,
it is also a means of getting closer to your Lord, it wipes away your evil deeds, and
keeps one from committing sins."
