We curse our times when the real fault is within us
There is no fault in our times, other than Us
We lampoon this time for no fault of its own
If time were able to speak to us, inturn it would lampoon Us
The wolf will never eat the meat of a wolf
Yet we brazenly eat the flesh of one another
Imaam shafi'ee
may Allah bless him , and fragrance his grave with the breeze of Firdous. ameen
May Allah accept us all
EDIT: I got this poem from another person and they said that they translated it with the help of someone else so i don't have the source for it.
sorry.

And verily for everything that a slave loses there is a substitute, but the one who loses Allah will never find anything to replace Him.” [Related by Ibn al-Qayyim in ad-Dâ' wad-Dawâ Fasl 49]
