The first verse that was sent to muhammed (saw) was.Proclaim(or read) in the name of the lord and cherisher who created.So who will read, only those who had knowledge.
Allah (swt) said in other verse( those truly fear allah among his servants are who have knowledge.) so we can truly understand< only allahs servants who know and have knowledge are people who truly appreciate the inner world, and it is they who know that the fear of allah is the beginning of wisdom.
