What happens to a sin when it is forgiven?

    Report bad ads?

    Hi all

During Ramadan it is said that God will forgive all your sins as long as you keep all the requirements.

Lets say for example i committed 10,000 sins, then Ramadan comes and I do very well and God forgives ALL MY PREVIOUS SINS (all 10,000 sins).

Does this mean that when i go for my judgement, God will not ASK me about ALL MY PREVIOUS sins that were forgiven?

Will those be completely ERASED AND NOT MENTIONED because of the fact that i succeeded in ramadan (succeeded in being forgiven)?

In other words, will GOD ONLY ASK ME ABOUT SINS THAT WERE NOT FORGIVEN when i died?

    many thanks in advanced

This isn't true. Where is this said?

What gives a person the promise that after intentionally committing these sins he will even have the strength to stand in front of allah and give sincere repentance for them?? Or that he will even live to that day anyways?

Whether your sins are forgiven or counted against you, you will never know until judgement day because it's all going to depend on your true repentance, effort, sincerity, intentions, and actions.

Re: What happens to a sin when it is forgiven?

Maybe the good deeds account is credited from Allah's infinite account balance in order to balance or adjust the books?

    Hadith No: 37
    Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira
    Listed in: Belief
Allah's Apostle said: "Whoever establishes prayers during the nights of Ramadan faithfully out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's rewards (not for showing off), all his past sins will be forgiven."

    Hadith No: 35
    Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira
    Listed in: Belief
Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever establishes the prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's rewards (not to show off) then all his past sins will be forgiven."

    Hadith No: 38
    Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira
    Listed in: Belief
Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping to attain Allah's rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven."

    Hadith No: 39
    Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira
    Listed in: Belief
The Prophet said, "Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by worshipping in the mornings, the nights." (See Fath-ul-Bari, Page 102, Vol 1).

    Hadith No: 41
    Narrated/Authority of Abu Huraira
    Listed in: Belief
Allah's Apostle said, "If any one of you improve (follows strictly) his Islamic religion then his good deeds will be rewarded ten times to seven hundred times for each good deed and a bad deed will be recorded as it is."

It does say with EEMAAN AND IHTISAAB, therefore hollow gestures and cunning pretences appear to be excluded from the equation.

The final hadith in the list above supports my theory along with the statement that the scales will be weighed with truth and justice - and other ahadith stating that Allah will require an adjustment of balances for each sincere good deed and injustice regardless of creed - even if it is a horned ram vs a non horned ram. Also the fact that disadvantages such as the prick of a thorn, walking in heat, cutting across a valley, or suffering an injury whether major or minor - all for Allah's sake are taken into account and rewarded. (Ref quran ch 9 tawbah)

Also - If it is possible that Allah can forgive a person for murder or manslaughter due to the feeling of genuine remorse, and for admitting it to Allah and begging for a charitable adjustment (Moses (saws) and the sucker-punch), and that He will weigh properly with truth and still be just to every individual, and that He is able to actually forgive sins from a person's account book despite the person having wronged another, then it logically follows that He is filling the damages vaccuum from an account above and beyond the human transaction sphere, based on how close a person is to truth and justice, since people end up with those whom they love, and since Allah will ask people to call upon their respective god/s for help and people will ask Allah, the bankrupt devil, the jinn, the angels, and their corrupt leaders to take some of the consequences of their actions upon themselves, or to appeal for respite, and only Allah will be able to take responsibility for His awliya (those on His side) and see them to success.

So yup, looks like He can forgive anything He pleases and still be just, and that those reimbursed won't have any complaints or lingering sense of injury, since near everyone's going to be saying "myself, myself" and will take any credits like a hungry shark.

    Allah knows best.

Pls make dua that Allah makes it easy for me to walk straight..... if i said anything wrong - please add so i can fix it.

these are the hadiths i was talking about. i was not grown up and taught how to be muslim but i was born muslim and i found that everything this prophet Muhammad says ends up being true. so when I read these hadiths and i look at myself, i think to myself "how can it be that i sin so much but i also have so much faith at the same time?". i do not meet many people who i see with faith like me.. i am being honest but God knows better, but for this reason it doesn't make any sense to me why i feel overpowered when i am sinning even though i do my best. i notice that in the end i end up stopping that specific sin completely but WHILE I AM IN IT i feel like i am being punished at that moment.

I was talking with the assumption that an individual has repented sincerely, that is why i mentioned the ramadan requirements

It would be the Best ( & a Must )if you use the word 'Allah ' here instead of God.

    Jazakallah Khair.

    Jazakallah Khair.

If you want to know Why ?

God can mean much more like Gods, male God, Goddess , which may lead to Shirk . So for a beginner to Islam we can use the word God for a start for better understanding , but asap we must use Allah instead.
Since Allah = ONLY Allah as in sura iklaas.

Prophet used to glorify Allah by saying ''You are praised as yourself '' So Allah praised himself called him as Allah in majority of verses and also by those 99 attributes which we can use too and should use too.

like here in sura 20 and most of the suras

    14. "Verily! I am Allâh! Lâ ilâha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât) for My Remembrance.

My Aqeedha : Aqeedha of Sahabas as in http://legacy.quran.com/112

Just a Muslim with Glorious Quran and (hadith) sunnah as my guide as in verse 41:33 '' And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims."
