    Knowledge

    Report bad ads?

Salam Waaleykom, peace be upon you.

What will Allah (swa) do with those humans who have little knowledge about Islam, but still are Muslims. Humans who try to seek knowledge by themselves, because they never had anyone to learn them. So they seek for knowledge about Islam (how to pray, understanding Al Qur'an etc.) but they sometimes find it and sometimes it's hard. They got parents who has not lot's of knowledge, so you seek for it yourself. What will Allah do to them on the day when we meet him? Will he punish them?

Nowadays many claim that it's easy to seek knowledge due to today's technology. But there are many examples and many ways and many different things to follow which is confusing.

I've grown up without a father who knows seek, prays and I find it difficult. Who are going to teach me about Islam? I'm a teenager and so far I've learnt everything by myself. My father never teach me something and he actually doesn't support me going to Qur'an school. But seeking knowledge through internet, is kinda impossible. Which scholar should you follow? Which steps are the right ones? Who should you listen to?

In Sha Allah, Allah guides us.

    Re: Knowledge

Pursuit of knowledge by each individual is the essential first step. Knowledge gained must also be practiced. One cannot simply keep knowledge to himself. It must also be shared and disseminated. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) practiced all aspects of knowledge fully throughout his life.

    Re: Knowledge

We can learn about Islam at any age and there is no limitations and restrictions that you just learn about Islam in childhood etc. When you have free time, you can learn about Islamic history.

    Ve aleykum selam,
Having little knowledge about Islam is not a sin. your intentions to learn about your religion and the effort you put into it for seeking information and trying to be sure you have the correct information will be rewarded.
a lot of information how to pray can be found on the internet. Islam has 4 madhabs: Hanafi, Safi, Hanbali and Maliki. All four are rightfull to follow. they differ only in small details from each other in how to pray etc.
But the main part on how to pray are equal.
Which one you follow is an individual choice.

Understanding Quran, you can read translations of the Quran in your language or you can look into Tafsirs. Tafsirs are a huge help in this, because you can find information in them like:
for every sourah, when it was revealed and what was going on in the world at that time
    translation verse by verse
what every verse refers to (explanation of the verse)
how some words in the specific verse should be interpreted.

you can freely download tafsirs on the net. one of the best and reliable ones is Ibn Katheer.

The most important in seeking for knowledge is using your own logic and reason. I do not know a scholar you can follow.
perhaps you can simply go to a mosque of choice and ask the Imaam there if you have urgent questions.

and of course we can also help you in your quest.

    Good luck
