I'm thinking of dropping Eng Lit for Media..
Is this a wise choice? You have to do a lot of reading for Eng Lit and at the moment it's more acting than reading :S and it's pretty hard. I'm doing A levels.

However, Media sounds more enjoyable and I wanted to know what the coursework is like?

I actually want to become an accountant. I'm taking Business, I.T, R.E and Eng Lit

I'm not aiming for top Uni's like Oxford or Cambridge.

Re: Could someone help me please

    Greetings,

I'm a great admirer of English Literature, but I would be, being an English teacher!

    The choice is yours.

The decision shouldn't affect your career prospects too much if you're sure you want to become an accountant, although you shouldn't overlook the writing skills that a course in English Literature could give you. I would have thought Mathematics would be useful for a career in accountancy, by the way, but I'm not an expert.

If you enjoy reading, then studying English Literature is a joy. If you're not able to keep up with the level of reading, though, it will be difficult to do well.

Do you know which exam board syllabus your Media Studies course would follow? If you do, you'll be able to have a look on their website and find out what the coursework requirements are.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

    Peace

The choice is always yours but all I would say is that you should not drop any subject just because its 'hard' or parts of it you don't like. Tough subject are where you prove yourself, where there is no struggle as someone has said there is no gain.
