I am gathering some research based on English teachers' viewpoints when it comes to teaching English. I would appreciate it if you are an English teacher if you can take some time out and answer the ten questions found below. You can answer the questions in this thread or send me a private message. Either way keep your responses as professional as possible and make sure you number your answers so that I know which question you are referring too please.

    1) Please tell me about yourself and your teaching experiences.

    2) How would you teach a reading lesson?

    3) How would you teach a vocabulary lesson and how would you make sure all students can correctly say the target language?

    4) How would you teach the present perfect?

    5) Arrange in order of importance and why; planning, teaching methodology, evaluation, discipline.

    6) Prepare a lesson plan teaching quantifiers. What activities and why?

    7) How do you ensure that all students in a class will achieve the lesson aims?

    8) Define the following forms of assessment; formative, summative, and other suitable forms that you have used.

    9) How can technology be helpful?

    10) What forms of classroom management do you use in the classroom?

    (Peace be upon you)

    Hi, sis @mission2succeed
    .
Sister, I'm tagging our nice and knowledgeable non-Muslim brother @czgibson who can God-willing give you the direction and answers you require as he's taught English and once even created a legendary and wonderful thread on the English language on IB itself. I'm sure he'll be able to give you valuable input God-willing.

    Best Wishes,

    (And peace be upon you)

It seems that you are targeting the questions towards ESL/TEFL/TESOL teachers, right? Because teaching English and teaching English as a Second language are different. Can you clarify which one?

Re: English Teachers Required to Answer Questions for my research Below Please

Hey, I'm not an actual teacher but I've got just a bit of informal experience with some of this. I'd like to answer one of these, since it can be a tricky one.

    4) How would you teach the present perfect?

This may work best for males of a certain age, but here is how I would present it. Imagine I'm sitting on a couch in a living room, describing various tenses to you as they related to video games. I'd probably start with the past tense. Right now the TV is off and nothing is really happening, but last night, in the past tense, I played some video games and it was sick. In the future, I will play video games, but it hasn't happened yet. The TV is still off. But then I go turn it on, I pick up the controller....ah, now I am playing video games. This is the present tense, active voice if you're keeping track.

But how do I describe the present perfect? That's just a bit different, so let's start again. Imagine you walk into the room, the TV is on, I have the controller in my hand, I'm playing video games. You ask me, How long have you been playing? I say, What time is it? You tell me. Then I say, What day is it? Oh yes, it's been awhile. I started playing last night, and I have been playing continuously though the night. This is not an activity that's strictly in the past, although there was a lot of it back there too. It is very much continuing into the present, and it is an ongoing thing. I have been playing this video game all night, and the "have been playing" phrasing is something that describes an activity I started awhile ago and am continuing into the present moment, now just give me another minute because I'm almost to a save point.

If you want to represent this visually with arrows, you could create a timeline. Points on the line- make sure they're points- indicate certain spots where past, present, and future things are located. Then for the present perfect, you start with a point in the past and then emphasize a large arrow that continues that thing up to the present time. That's your present perfect.
