    Associates or Bachelors in Hijama?

    Report bad ads?

I was wondering if any university or college in the world offers a real degree of some type in Hijama. I've read of some schools in the UK, but they all say diploma and that isn't what I'm looking for.

Maybe some school in India, Egypt, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, etc.

I tried looking through google but I can't find any real university or college that offers this type of training other than the ones in the UK.

Can you be specific as to what university, where it is located, and the price per year please?

    Assalamu Alaikum

Hijaama is not a field that can be taken up as a major/course anywhere in the world as far as I know. Hijaama is only a small part of a wider range of therapies and really only requires certification and a bit of training. It would be like asking for a degree on how to administer injections. Doesn't really involve a lot of time or science to learn how to do that. If you wanted to get into a more complex field which includes hijaama, you might want to look into homeopathic or naturopathic medicine. If you wanted to learn more about hijaama as a part of islamic therapy then maybe search online for Islamic medicine courses like this one here CLICK.

Hijaama isn't considered a medical procedure. It's not something that doctors would prescribe for their patients for example, despite its numerous benefits. Of course as Muslims we know how great these benefits are alhemdulilah and it's great that we can learn to do this very simply. My point is, because it's not a medical procedure, it wouldn't be something taught in universities to doctors. If it was, the degree you'd be inquiring about would be medicine.

Thank you. Do you know if hijama is illegal in the US? I think you have to be a DR to do it, am I right? My plan is to get taught in the UK and then open a hijama practice in the US.

You dont have to be a doctor, but most practices require licensure. Hijaama is called cupping and its practiced in other cultures as well. In the US, licensed acupuncturists are the ones who practice cupping. You can read more about that here https://www.howtobecome.com/how-to-b...-acupuncturist
