Re: Study at Islamic University of Madinah

The Islamic university does not have a women's section at the moment, but most of the other universities in Saudi Arabia have women's sections. They accept local female students as well as foreigners already residing in Saudi Arabia.
I am not sure about international scholarships for female students, as that would be much complicated in terms of accommodation, transport etc.

of course not. Females and males have their own separate universities. Travelling alone to a foreign country for study without a mahrem is unislamic and particularly unsafe. Its not a simple 1 or 2 yr program. Many go on to get their phd there so they may spend around 6-8 years of their life there and they take it very seriously. There'd be no reason to advertise to females in regards to the visa process required. It would be illogical. However if youre already there as mentioned, there are many programs like this one available to females.

The worlds frist university was founded by a female and is still open to both male and female.

I think most universties in Islams golden age were open to both sexes and a large percentage of jurists were women..Imagine that at a modern Saudi state sponsored uni or anywhere in that kingdom, would they even teach such a thing as a part of Islams heritage?

Its something Islam should be proud of imho.

Why wouldn't they teach it? Arab and Islamic history is by far one of the most interesting there is.

The women of Saudi wear full niqaab. It would be oppressive to have mixed schools. At least when they are segregated, they are able to dress however they want and do whatever they want without the fear of fitnah as youd have in mixed universities. Especially in an islamic school, this would be important. Mixed unis are available btw, just not as common. And this is their culture whether you agree with it or not. Anyways school is for learning not for worrying about whether girls or boys are in the class

I love this country and it may not be perfect but it is better to its citizens than western counties. Wallah sometimes I wonder how is it that these western countries are considered first world?? People are so brainwashed with nationalism.

Are you still interested in studying Islam?

Islamic online university offers bachelors and masters in Islamic studies along with degrees in Islamic psychology Islamic finance and it

The fall semester has already started but they also do a diploma in Islamic studies free that can be started at any time. Could be worth doing that to see if these studies are a right fit for you before committing to the bachelors when registration opens
