“Among His signs is that He created for you mates from among yourselves, in order to have tranquility with them and He put love and mercy between your (hearts) : verily in that are signs for those who reflect.” [30:21]
There’s all sorts of antiquated marriage advice out there, but it turns out that there’s one relationship trope that actually holds true: “Happy wife, happy life.” http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/0...n_5843596.html
The truth is that many marriages slip from amazing to falling apart because both people become selfish and petty and allow their nafs to overwhelm their heart from being conscious of Allah.
It's forgetting the angel is writing.
It's forgetting that you are accountable.
It's forgetting the soul in the person in front of you matters to Allah, The Most Powerful, The Most Just.
It's forgetting that your tongue is controlled by you alone.
Its forgetting that love isn't demanding and selfish.
It's forgetting that you have the power to hurt.
It's simply letting go of basic manners which we ask even of children when speaking with each other or us.
Turn those all around, and transformation begins to occur.
A short beautiful note, why I want to get married?
-Because I want my eyes to see someone special, someone halal, knowing that he/she is my gift from Allah. -Because I want someone who loves Allah and loves me because he/she loves Allah. -Because I want somebody to share my happiness and praise Allah with me, someone to cry my tears with me and make dua with me and someone to love and love Allah with me. -Because I want to have children of my own to love and care and share with a gift from Allah. -Because I want to share Allah’s beautiful creations and praise His name with someone who Allah has fated to be with me since I was born. -Because verily, with a halal partner, my life and everything I do with my spouse will be halal in the eyes of Allah completing half my Deen. -Because I am a gift from Allah to someone, and I want to let him/her feel Allah’s love through me. Insha'Allah
“Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and children the coolness to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.” [Surah Furqan, verse 74]
"Fall in love with their manners, the way they treat others and you. It's easy to find someone who has money. It's harder to find someone with genuine intentions for you and your heart."

^Sorry about all the negative rejection quotes...finding a spouse is such a painful process! I hate the games people play and dishonesty and no reason/explanation/clearness. Please remember me in your duas. Jzk.
