Men and Women are equal in Islam

"Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so - for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.(Qur'an 35)

This is the verse of Chapter Ahzaab. Where God addresses both men and women. This verse plainly tells what qualities and characteristics are of real worth in the sight of God. These are the basic values of Islam which have been compressed into one sentence. As regards these, there is no difference between the man and woman. However, as for their life activity, the two sexes have separate spheres to function. The males have to function in some particular spheres and the females in some others. But if they possess these qualities and characteristics equally, God will raise them to equal ranks and bless them with equal rewards. It will in no way affect their rank and reward if one carried out household chores and the other performed the duties of worldly and striving in the way of God; and if one raising their children in the house and the other going out to earning money to look after their family. Both are doing in their sphere and both will get great reward for tgtir work. Both are equal in their status, rank and deeds but physically they both are different as they both compliment each other.

These are the characteristics which Muslim should adopt as a whole should reform themselves. However, majority of the population knows little about it – they consider the Islamic laws oppressive on women. Often this is done out of ignorance, lack of knowledge, misapprehension or at times willingly. Lately, a section of media too is deluding around on the same – efforts are made to propagate that Muslim women do not enjoy equal rights and are victimized. If 'Right' means absolute equality of the two genders, then its not, because God hasn't made a single gender. They are two different genders, one is male and the other is female and subsequently, God has ordained slightly different rules for both, which suit each best.

The laws from the Creator can never go wrong – This calls for educating oneself on the commandments and refraining from falling prey to flying news which have no basis. Muslims must study the Quran and Hadith with an effort to understand and implement the divine rules; only then one can prove that Islam is the most open-minded religion. Since man are strong physically, that's the reason it is his responsibility to look after their family provide for them. But both will get equal reward for their deeds. Undoubtedly, Islam is fair to both men and women. 4e3e0ffce6152ca3e63a9341c8c5739d 1 - Men and Women are equal in Islam85601d5ff5d4ab159deaa49a1c7b3a6c 1 - Men and Women are equal in Islam

There will be women in Paradise with grades higher than men.

There will be men in Paradise with grades higher than women.

When it comes to striving for what counts - namely the eternal life of the next world - then, without a doubt, the playing field is equal for all.

Re: Men and Women are equal in Islam

In Islam male and female all are equal it is true and correct, but it doesn't mean they have equal qualities and capabilities. They have different qualities and duties. It is very necessary to Islamic Teaching to understand their rights and duties in Quran and Sunnah.
