Saaiduna Ibn Abbas ra reported that a man came to the Prophet of Allah (s.a.w) said that his wife “does not move anyone’s hand from her” (indicating to that whenever someone wants to commit adultery with her she commits it). The Prophet of Allah (s.a.w) replied, “Divorce her.” Then the man said, “I love her”, upon which the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam said, “Then keep her”. (Mishkatul Masabeeh p.287 v.2)
^ The scholars of hadith have said that it is preferable to divorce an adulterous woman. However, if you love her and she has repented from her actions and is willing to change then you an keep her. (Mazahirul Haq p.179 v.4)
Hadith doesn't look authentic. It is a death punishment in Islam for both man and women for adultery. Knowing arab mentality and Islamic sharia I can't even imagine such dialog that described in this hadith. Also I found only 1 source in the internet with this hadith.

if you don't digest the hadith it doesn't mean that it's fabricated one. Consult your scholars who do you trust to know of this hadith.

Well, give me a proper source for that hadith which saying it is sahih. And explain how it is possible that hadith contradict to Quran which put a death penalty for adultery?

No, it's not necessary for me to prove its authenticity. I don't care if you reject it. However, If your logic is that every hadith which contradicts Quran is not authentic, then never wash your feet in doing wudhu as according to Quran you've to wipe upon the feet (instead of washing).... Concerning the hadith, be known to this fact that the hadith doesn't contradict Quran bcoz punishment of zina isn't decided until proven by witnesses or zani himself/herself confesses before the Qazi and the zani/zaniya is proven convicted in the court. See the incident (in bukhari) of Hz Uwaimar ajlani ra who accused his wife of adultery and then sentenced triple talaq in presence of prophet s.a.w. Despite he took oath for the li'aan, nevertheless prophet s.a.w didn't sentence the punishment of zina on his wife.

Hadith should not contradict to Quran, thats a rule. First Quran only after that Hadith. Anyway, what is the point of this topic? If woman commits adultery it means 1 of 2 or both: 1) She doesn't love her husband 2) She has low moral principles, so she can have sex while she has a husband. Also remember the old wisdom: who betrayed once, he will betray twice. Usually after first zina will come second. Because it is a kind of psychology, not every woman will have sex while she is married, she's mentally should be able to make it(not every woman able to do that). Also, for man it is a hard blow to know that his woman made that, for man and woman this kind of things doesn't go same, man usually unable to sorry woman even if he doesn't divorce her, this is one of the rare things that are very hard for man to forgive to his wife, so the negative vibe will stay in those relationships for a long time... It's really very rare when such things happens by woman's fault and couple can move forward normally, usually it destroy the whole relationship. So what's the point? If you want to sorry her, ok. But remember you might be not able to really do that, that will only delay an end for a little bit.

One of the most famous case was that of Maa’iz Aslami. After he was stoned to death, the Prophet (Pbuh) declared; “Whenever we go out of the city to fight in the cause to Allah, one of you stays behind. He bleats (in lust) like a goat and gives (his) milk to one of the women. If anyone of them is handed over to me by Allah, I shall give him a horrifying punishment.” The narrator says when he related the event to Saeed Bin Jubair, he said the Prophet (Pbuh) had turned him back (from punishment) four times.(Muslim; Kitabul Hudood)
It was asked of Imam Ibne Timiyah if a man was entitled to the punishment of unlawful sex and he atoned for the sin before the imposition of punishment, would the punishment be condoned by his atonement. He replied; “If one resolves to leave unlawful sex, theft or drinking before the case is produced before the Imam, then it is proper that the punishment will be condoned like it is condoned for the Maharibeen (the wagers of war against Allah and the Apostle and the seditionist) if they repent before coming under the grip of law”. (Majmoo’-ul-Fatawa Sheikh-ul-Islam) ...... Says Ibne Qayyim: “If this is true that Allah does not punish anyone who repents, then it is also true that no punishment should be implemented on a repentant. Allah has made clear that even the Maharibeen are forgiven if they repent before coming under grip. It is despite of the fact that their crime is extremely atrocious. Obviously the lesser offences will in the first place be pardoned if there is true repentance already.” (A’alaam-ul-Muqi’een quoted in Haqeeqat-e-Raj’m P.217). ...... The sinner, if repentant, is not required to voluntarily report his sin to law. Instead, he should ask forgiveness of Allah and resolve to stay away from the sin in future. ‘The Prophet of Allah said;“Stay away from those loathsome evils, which Allah has forbidden you from. If someone through a slip indulges in any such act then he should remain concealed behind the veil of Allah and ask forgiveness of Him. But if someone will produce his neck before us (i.e. stick to the sinful activities unashamedly and boldly) then we shall enforce the code over him.” (Bulughul Maraam; Kitabul Hudood; Ibne Haj’r Asqalani) ... “Said Anas Bin Malik, ‘I was present beside the Prophet (Pbuh) when a man came and said;‘O Prophet of Allah I have committed a punishable sin, so enact the punishment’. The Prophet (Pbuh) did not ask him any question till it was time for Namaz. After he had offered the prayer with the Prophet (Pbuh), he again approached him and said; “O Prophet of Allah I have committed a punishable sin, so judge me by the book of Allah”. The Prophet (Pbuh) asked him, ‘ Have you not offered prayer with me’? He replied, ‘Yes’. Then the Prophet (Pbuh) said, ‘Allah has pardoned your sin and your punishment.”(Bukhari). The Prophet (Pbuh) did not even ask him what crime or sin he had committed. This is because the purpose of punishment in Islamic system is to punish the consistent and habitual criminal so that others should learn from his severe punishment and do not dare to follow in his footsteps.
