salam

The “battle” goes on…
by xeniagreekmuslimah

Ramadan is leaving us soon. With heavy hearts all Muslims are preparing to say salam to Ramadan (the blessed month). The month in which even smallest of deeds like smiling and spreading salam earned us tremendous rewards.

We all tried our level best to gain as much as possible during these days and now with a satisfied mind we are ready to celebrate Eid.

It was a month long battle we fought with ourselves both physically and spiritually. It was for sure not an easy task to be patient with kids, caring your dear ones, doing your daily chores without grumbling when your stomach kept complaining. Insha Allah! May Allah give colour to all our good deeds on the day of Judgement.

This battle of ours with our body and soul should end up changing us. The purpose was not to become a different person for a month and go back to square one soon after Eid.

The most worrying fact is that the devils will be unchained again and so our chances to slip away increases. Some of us tend to get back to our old habits like sleeping without praying fajr, watching useless stuff on TV, wasting time gossiping etc., which are of course are acts which Allah wouldn't like us to do.

The change which we brought into our lives striving inside should not be withered. We should realize that Allah is keeping an eye on us when He let us free in dunya(in this worldly life), to do what ever we want. Allah reads our mind so its of no use trying to act without the fear and love for Allah deep inside.

So lets make a decision to follow Allah's orders and include as much sunnahs in our life and make our living an example of a true Muslim (reminder for me first and foremost).

Let us say salam to Ramadan praying to live more Ramdans in our life time and obtain more rewards. Let us not foget shaithan is our enemy who is gonna approach us as soon as its set free.

The first thought shaitan will bring to our mind is “One whole month you sacrificed everything for Allah, its time you let yourself have some fun “ and slowly will lead us from one small sin to another and eventually we will end up doing haraam acts. We should protest against it at the first stage itslef, or we will become his slave.
” Whoever, forsaking God, takes Satan for a friend, hath of a surety suffered a loss that is manifest. Satan makes them promises, and creates in them false desires; but Satan’s promises are nothing but deception. (4: 117–20)

So we should not stop battling shaithan until we be able to say
“' La ilaha illallah muhammad dur rasoolallah" ( There is No God except Allah and Muhammad is a messenger of Allah) in our last breath.

Let the battle go on....

May Allah shower his mercy on us allowing us to be among his best slaves Insha Allah
