    Worst Ramadhan so far!!!!

    Report bad ads?

This has been the worst ramdhan for me so far because i cant seem to wake up for Fajr. I have put on countless alarms on high volume but i just cant seem to hear it
its like my brain is blocking it or something As soon as i wake up i make up the prayer but i cant keep doing it! I want to actually get up for Fajr because when i do i feel complete.

That's not the only problem though! i have also been losing my temper with everyone around me. I will admit i am not myself when i'm hungry and i cant seem to control that.

I have secluded myself from my family because i know they will test my patience.

There is only i think a week left of ramdhan, is it too late to change? Will my ramadhan be accepted?

    Re: Worst Ramadhan so far!!!!

    Walikumassalam,

Sis if you are fasting naturally you would be awake at sehri hours, so it's not very difficult to stay awake till fajr
I know it can be difficult to stay motivated for regular prayer but know the purpose of fasting is lost if you aren't praying regularly.Try to engage in dhikr instead of doing what you usually do.....InShaa Allah your mind would benefit from praise and glorification of Allah (S W T).

Best practice for remaining calm is reciting Durood Salavat as it gives you a sense of calm...Moreover practice mindfulness monster your own words as if you would any other person, the moment you see your jaws tightening or your fists becoming tight is the moment to take a deep breath and stop yourself from reacting negatively.Since in Ramadan reward is doubled so be kind to your family and dear ones as its reward is double fold.As soon as you keep practicing your new habits with positive intention it will be easier to control yourself .

    Re: Worst Ramadhan so far!!!!

    Just have to keep trying.

There is a saying in competition, "to win you must first finish". So if you don't complete the task, you are out. If you don't fast, zero. If you do, there is always chance for the plus points. Of course this isn't technically, competition..

    Do lots of zikir..

I go to bed right after tarweeh and i barely ever eat suhoor so i'm not awake for that either.

I pray my other salahs its just fajr i cant seem to wake up for Does that mean my fasting is not accepted?

I had a problem before ramadan of waking up for fajr
But Alhamdulilah now for suhoor i just stay awake all night untill fajr is in pray and go sleep,
If you are able to wake up for suhoor then just stay awake untill fajr
If not before you go bed drink a tonne of water so the urge to go toilet will wake u up in the middle of the night around fajr times (its worked for me in the past, a lil trick i learned, then automatically after a while your body just wakes up at that time without the need to go toilet)

Thats the whole point of ramadan dear sis, as human nature when we are hungry/thirsty we tend to be very snappy, more prone to anger etc, this is the best opportunity to keep our character/personality in check and to mould it to be humble, its part of the test of ramadan
We are starving our bodies to feed our souls to also recify our chatacters when under stress and our bodies are empty of sustinence
So make Quran, anything islamic your sustinence and in sha Allah it slowly helps it wont happen overnight you just have to try to improve and constantly ask Allah to help and change you to be someome who is pleasing to Allah.

Id honestly be around your family and allow yourself to be in situations where your pateince is tested to work on yourself and improve

I try all these thinhs myself as i have a extremely bad temper and during this ramadan it hasnt been so bad, its more of a spiritual connection to ramadan that has been missing for me, so in sha Allah Allah has forgiven us all and sees our intentions over our actions or lack of

Dont worry sis Allah is sooo mercifull and loving, we should never forget that

(Oh btw if you unintentionally miss prayer from sleep, unconsciousness etc, then its fine you just have to make it up as soon as, before you go bed incase you may miss fajr just make intention to keep the fast for the following day... so yes your fast is still valid, just ofcourse better to pray fajr when it comes in before sunrise

Also make dua to Allah that He helps you to wake up for fajr as you miss the feeling fajr brings

    Worst Ramadhan so far!!!!

Narrated Jubair ibn Mut’im: The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W), said: "He is not one us who calls for `Asabiyah, (nationalism/tribalism) or who fights for `Asabiyah or who dies for `Asabiyah." [Sunan Abu Dawud (Vol. 2, pg. 753) No. 5121]

    Re: Worst Ramadhan so far!!!!

Aww I'm sorry. I know how bad it can feel to try to do what's right and feel like you failed. I feel like I am continually working on being gentle and soft-spoken and not succeeding as much as I'd like to.

Although I cannot speak for Islamic law, I do think that God is pleased when someone tries to overcome many obstacles to please Him. If something comes easily to you, great, but if not and you try your best, will God not be happy with your efforts? I know I feel that way with my children.

Allah tells us in the Quran :

( 69 ) And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good. When you strive to obey Allah he will guide you to his way ... in the beginning the obeisance will be hard and this is which make it special and gives us reward and every thing good I'm life need more effort and Allah will ask us how much we strive and try to obey and we think of how can we do what Allah want
So remember Allah tells us ( 45 ) And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah]

Say to yourself this is my chance especially in the last ten days .. it will save you for the rest of your life
And do hardworking this days for yourself and be sure Allah want our heart ask him a lot
And I do this in my life in every obeisance I found it defficult I say o Allah is want to obey you please help me .. I do the this and after a time I found it easy
And I do the same if I do mistake or don't want to disobey Allah
    He is near
( 186 ) And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.

Remember : and despair not of relief from Allah. Indeed, no one despairs of relief from Allah except the disbelieving people."
Do your best and Allah will help you for sure

Been there, done that! Those breathing exercises really don't work.

Sis is I can see your account disabled now .... Please have faith in Allah as He is most merciful so first off make good intention for Fajr prayer then you will wake up at prayer time, also having suhoor is highly recommended as I would literally faint if don't eat anything at sehri time ...

Whenever I had a problem with controlling my negative reaction I recited Durood Ibrahimi..AlhamdulillAh it works! Durood is an excellent form of gaining jannah as by reciting we send blessings to Holy Prophet SubhanAllah ...therefore highly recommended

If you face any serious issues regarding anger joining anger management class or any creative sport would also be beneficial as all that anger energy gets out so I think it would be a good idea sis...Inshaa Allah may it be easier for you Aameen.
