(How should we prepare our baggage for Ramadan)
Al Shaikh Al Shanqaiti was asked this question: how would you advise us to prepare ahead of this special time of obedience?
So he said: the best way to prepare for this time is "abundance of Istighfar" (seeking forgiveness) "because there is no doubt that the sins of a person deprive him of tawfeeq... and if he constantly makes istighfar in his heart then it purifies him...
And if he is weak... it makes him strong... and if he is sick then it heals him...and if he is in troubles then it gives him protection... and if he is lost then it will guide him... and if he is miserable then it will give him tranquillity...
And surely istighfar is the only protection left for us after the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w)!!
So whoever makes istighfar his characteristic... then Allah will make his provisions easy... and will give him ease in all his affairs... and will protect his condition and his strengths...
Ya Allah make us reach Ramadan and fill us will the strength for worship...
Umar bin Al Khattab (r.a.) said:
If the lightning falls from the sky... it will not strike the one who is a "mustaghfir" (which means a constant/ regular seeker of forgiveness)
I seek forgiveness from Allah who is the only one worthy of worship... the ever living... ever sustaining...and I turn back to Him in repentance
