How to help support IslamicBoard?

Do you want to help in maintaining hosting costs of IslamicBoard? As with any other big website, IB's hosting cost runs in few hundreds every month. Below are a few ways in which you can help in keeping IB online and up to date.

Disable Ad block on IslamicBoard
Add an exception to your ad block plugin in your browser for IslamicBoard. Currently we are running Google Adsense ads. Although we try our best not to display any inappropriate ads, it is possible that some of them might show up randomly. In case you see any inappropriate ad, please report it to us and we will remove it as soon as possible

Purchase from our affiliates
We had recently joined the Shukr Clothing affiliate program. They are also giving out a 10% discount for IslamicBoard members. Just contact a moderator before you make your purchase to get the discount code. If you regularly purchase your clothing online, this would be one of the best options.

The notice appears to be urgent and should if possible be kept at the top of the list of "latest post" threads until i.b is comfortably funded on a regular basis.

Note,
Self sufficient seems a risky term since we depend on Allah whilst doing what we can within our means in Allah's service, but i believe most people know that Muslims accept that fact.

Yes this is your forum, reader, these days its hard to find a forum so well moderated and seen to as IslamicBoard. The moderaters are doing an excellent job in their duties

It serves our purpose in learning, teaching and a place to interact with other people in a good way.

So, go on, brothers and sisters, support a good cause, insha'allah, and it will go far.

May Allah swt bless the administration and people who look after this forum and reward them with the best of rewards,in dunya and akhirah, ameen.

If we were able to rain money on them, they could hire programmers to make kids islamic puzzles and games and stuff so the kids would spend most of their time on i.b like their very social parents, we could also have competitions like that wonderful "muslim millionaire" app on android, but this time, where you can win actual money - and that would definitely get the attention of people in most frames of mind because most people like money lol.

I reckon we have been trained ourselves by private messages (from the mods) and members quoting posts for clarifications, helps us be 'considered' in our comments .. or prepare for the onslaught.

Can't help much but for now apart from being a fairly regular contributor..

Can we buy server space with a personal link?
Photobucket seems to be trying to pull a scam on people in that it hooked them in with "free third party image hosting" adverts all over the web - despicable and criminal ransomware style dealing.

At the moment we do not have any such capability but I can look into it and see whether it is possible

You can try using archive.org for hosting your files. They allow unlimited storage and hotlinking images as well.

Will look at it.

Although God knows how long they'll continue before trying the same thing - judging by whether it's so easy to just shut people's embedded links down.

Would prefer something I can trust to make fair and reasonable demands.

I post lots of text as it is and don't feel comfortable using too much bandwidth on a non-profit Islamic forum and increasing the risk of undue load.

It may be a good idea to consider having Arabic Language classes on board with a qualified tutor (and assistants) as well as a place to discuss Islamic books, especially foundational ones covering Seerah and Fiqh etc. Whilst, everyone may come from different places, backgrounds and of course as time/situations progresses, there will always be those who have now discovered Islam and would like to go through/discuss basic topics. Also, those mentioned will helpful to kids, young adult etc.
